Still no date for Rodimus, Arcee and Cybertron Ratchet? I still can’t believe this show is gone. I wanted to at least get the main 5 bots in their Cybertronian modes. My wife really loved the cartoon and so did the wife of my local comic shop owner.

Cybertron Ratchet and Arcee are expected around Spring 2010.

Of the ones pictured in this thread, Wingblade Optimus Prime, Vortex Blurr, Fugitive Wasp, Rodimus, and Thundercracker are all bought. Mudbuster Bulkhead and Toxic Oil Slick are going to be impulse if anything.

Looks good but like many of the other repaints popping up, I tend to think "the money they used for this could have gone towards a new head for Fugitive Waspinator"

Between the two Scrappers I rather have a movie version myself. Still cool repaints.

Didn't Hasbro once say that the money spent on repaints is like, much, muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch, much cheaper than even a simple head retool?

Well, for a repaint, the Vortex Blurr looks great. Might have to actually pick that one up. Better than the Thundercracker repaint, IMO.

But I still want to know when Rodimus is going to start showing up in stores. He is the best Animated figuren left, IMO.

maybe so, but which will lead to more total sales?

If they'd skipped the Blurr repaint and used the money for the Waspinator head(if this were possible). Then instead of those Blurrs, the wave has an extra Waspinator.

Would they sell twice as many Waspinators if there was a new head? Hard to say. I know it would change it from a maybe to a definitely for some collectors, but on the other hand there's the collectors who will buy both regardless, and there's the kids who may already have one of the molds but not the other.

Yet more pointless repaints to draw out the remaining new molds...  Come on Hasbro, just release Arcee/Hot Rod/Ironhide already... :)

Damnit! I love that toy and now I need to get another one!?

Really, really surprised that Hasbro keeps dropping a few more toys for this line, considering the movie is dominating and the show was canceled.

Whatever. I enjoy Animated and Movie toys equally, so I win in the end (my wallet, however, loses).

Thundercracker I'm indifferent on. Having missed all the clones but starscream anyway, though I may regret that later.

Vortex blurr looks sweet! Wingprime is badass too, but not my cup of tea so he's a maybe for now. Waspinator looks sweet! Rodimus is also a definite must! Only arcee, ratchet, and Ironhide to go now.

This makes for a lot of new repaints though. Jazz, Oil Slick, Bulkhead, the two Activators, Blurr, blah blah. I can't imagine a new head sculpt being more expensive than all of that stacked together but eh, maybe so.

I'm happy to get new Animated stuff on the shelf either way, it's just a thought I've had.

I really wanna read Vortex Blurr's bio.

"After being crushed into a cube by Shockwave, Blurr spun REALLY fast, using the centrifugal force to re-expand his frame, and now he's totally fine (except for all his blue paint flying off) He spends most of his time rapid-fire gloating in front of Shockwave's prison cell."

    LOVE THIS.

These Animated releases are the only thing keeping me from dropping Transformers right now.
