New Animated can't come soon enough. Vortex Blurr looks cool (might make for an easier Batmobile/Batman custom...), but I'll pass. Rodimus, Arcee, Ironhide and Wingblade Optimus will bleed my wallet dry.

Vortex Burr looks like a very cool repaint. Gotta love the black. Already getting Rodimus, and while Oil Slick hardly looks different, I may consider him due to his appearance in the show. Don't have the original anyway.

Why weren't these released earlier this year?

I might get the Blurr and Oil Slick redecoes. I'll defintely get Rodimus and Wingblade Optimus. I would get Animated Thundercracker if only I bought Skywarp.

Now, Hasbro, surprise me by making Animated Scrapper since you have no plans of RoTF Scrapper. Pretty please?:p

He's Voyager. The Prime figure is the Deluxe one (from the Battle Begins pack, but different color and no battle damage, yay!)..but all the extensions that he comes with make him end up being in the Voyager price class.

The parts can supposedly also fit on the Voyager Prime figure..but since we haven't seen that in action yet, we don't know if it will look right or too small (both in robot mode and vehicle mode as a trailer).

IIRC, at the Comic-Con panel they mentioned that the stuff will attach to the Voyager Optimus in robot mode, but will not form a compatible trailer.

Also, honestly, the first thought when I saw Vortex Blurr was, "Hey, Animated Crasher!"

Man, I'm trying to buy fewer Transformers, and these show up. Wingblade OP, Rodimus, and TC were already on my to-buy list, with the Bulkhead, Oil Slick, and Wasp strong contenders... now Blurr, too. Good lord, Hasbro.

LOL! That really does work for this.

I'm probably the only one concerned about the choices Hasbro made for some of the re-colors that are advertised as coming out, though. Bulkhead and Oil Slick are just really bad choices, IMHO. Both when Animated was in its standard run and now that they've pulled the old stock out of back in stores, you toss in Lugnut and you've got the unholy trinity of shelfwarmers for the line.

Hasbro has to do re-colors for this, but those two just make me cringe.

I'm probably just over-reacting, though. It's not going to matter in the long run as the actual TV series is finished, so any mistake here aren't going to hurt it or the toyline (since what we're going to be getting is the end of it).

I like the Vortex Blurr re-color (or what we can see of it so far), but I liked the Blurr mold enough already that I may have a bias that overlooks a poor choice.

Oh, well, I guess I'll just take this Vortex Blurr reveal as good news and sweep anything else that I think of as bad news here aside as "not really worth considering as bad compared to everything else going on in the world".

Thanks. This makes sense, I guess..since the trailer would be too small.

    WOW!!!

Vortex Blurr looks all slivery and chromed up.

That being said, if I can find a good replacement head for him, I can modify and rename him as Chromedome.

With news of these soon-to-be released figures out, is it possible that Animated Spittor and Animated Strika will follow suit as either Deluxe or Voyager class figures?

Hasbro has already said that all unique Animated molds have been announced already. If there are any more surprises, they're going to be repaints.

Nope. The only new molds in this last swan song for Animated is Blackout, Rodimus, Arcee, Cybertron mode Ratchet/Ironhide, and to a small degree Ratbat (who comes with the Soundwave redeco). Everybody else is just repaints of already released molds. Frankly, I'm surprised Rodimus and Blackout are even getting new mold toys, considering they did praticaly nothing important in the long term anyways (I'd rather buy one of the Constructicons, they were more promimently featured anyways)

Blurr in black looks sexxxxxy. Nice.

    Maybe it's funerary black? :D

Thundercracker, eh? Looks nice, but considering how Thundercrackery the normal TFA Starscream is, what I REALLY want is a G1 Deco Voyager Screamer. Hasbro has GOT to know that those will sell...!!

Is it just me, or does every repaint of Oil Slick look pretty much the same?

I'm dying to know what those tech specs say...

Hmm perhaps Vortex Blurr will be like Movie 2007 Target Jazz (G1 colors) in which they try to "tech spec profile" his way out of dying.

If you cut off Wasp's horns...... your almost there....... almost.....

Also Rodimus for the win.... FOREVER.
