Is anyone else starting to think that this universe's version of the Autobot High Council is like the Jedi Council from the Star Wars prequels? They defeated the Decepticons, and now have made so many rules and regulations, they can't see the new threat growing right under their noises.

And we have Optimus, who does things his own way, but it ended up flunking him out of the Academy, and making bots like Ultra Magnus (who does things totally by the book) regard his as a renegade.

Well, that was just seven shades of awesome. I'm really looking forward to the debut on the 26th (followed by the seven month wait for the toys to be released :redface2: ).

Kind of interesting, since CN uses Macs...

I worked at their IT helpdesk for a bit a while back. At that time, in 1999, Turner used close to a 50/50 mix of PCs and Macs, and CN, with the animation and all, used more Macs than the others.

Hot damn. Can't say I'm totally going convert on the toys (cuz I still only want a small handful of them, though I'm feeling the tug of temptation) but I am SO ready for this show!

    You legend! *worships* :D

I'm getting more and more excited about Animated with each little snippet we get. Megatron is pure badass, and Starscream is as treacherous as ever. The characterisations are winning me over. :D

Megatron's voice will take some getting used to. But he can fly (which the Bots didn't know...) I liked the "efforts to save Energon" bit. And the asteroid bit was G1-friendly. And the Ark is shaped like G1. And Bumblebee's "I'm a doctor, not a soldier" bit.

But I'd like it better if the mouths were in sync with the voices.

This is awesome. The more I stay in touch and find new informations about this show, the more and more I like it. So far this series realy reminds me a lot of G1. Corey Burton is absolutely great as Megatron.

Am I the only one that did'nt like it?

I'm just a sucker for the original g1 shows. What I just watched paled in comparison, considering the original is over 20 years old! I was expecting better :thumbdown

That Noisemaze guy will probably not like this either.

But I suppose that not everyone is gonna like this. But that doesn't mean you're a traitor to the fanbase.

There's plenty of BM, Armadaverse, and G1 haters who are still healthy members of the fanbase. If you call an obsession over a children's toy property healthy.

    You rock for that.

Just in case Youtube removes it, I took the liberty of grabbing the video and have it hosted here:

I feel some of that, particularly concerning artistic direction and Megs's voice.

But since it's been 20 years since we've had any new G1 shows, this'll do for a start...:thumb

(Side note: Any idea what's different between Thumbs and Thumbs2? They look the same to me, and neither seems animated...)

Thanks for putting that up man. You rule. I work with Macs, so I wouldn't have been able to see it until I got home.

As for what I thought. Nothing but love for this show, and I mean everything from the style, to the VO work, to the pacing. They finally seem to have gotten it right for everyone. Even the kiddos which is what this is for anyone.

As was noted earlier, CN is only licensed for US distribution. Apparently that includes online distribution.

That preview was great! Starscream's voice was definitely one of the most impressive parts, and his personality was fitting as well. Prime looks to be a promising character, as does Bumblebee. Megatron's voice will take a little getting used to, but he does seem like a formidable force. Only Blackarachnia's voice seemed a little off. This seriously feels like the "new" G1 (I've been re-watching all the G1 episodes) and I can't wait for the premier.
