depends if they intended to do the rest of the other animated caracters like perceptor, whelljack, brawn, beachcomber and the rest of them that have been seen but dont have a toy made after them yet... if they dont do omega supreme i,m sure most of them wont be done....
"Not being made" is not "cancelled". However, your custom is looking great. Your work always has this great, clean and sleek look to it, but I never even thought of you doing Animated customs. From the hints Hasbro has dropped, we could even end up getting an Ani Wheeljack. (or Universe)
I would like an Omega from the Animated line. It doesn't seem like we will get one and I look forward to your project. If we don't get something official I hope I have enough money when you finish yours and come up with a price. Even if I don't I know it would be worth it anyway.
hey guys ! update time ! well i had a hell of a time just figuring out the arm system... trust me its WAY more complicated then i first thought.... and there are barely any margin for error.... and i,ve redone the leg systems... i should have known better then to take a shortcut and use unicron legs... so they,ll be scratchbuilt... in fact this entire project will be that... a scratchbuilt.... hope you like this little update ! (and there is so many changes to do !!)
best of luck on this. i know it would be expensive, but if our wonderful repro makers and casting folks could make a few reproductions of this when you are done. i would certainly buy one. keep up the good work, on this one and your other products
well i,ve managed to finish the basic structure of the arms !! and works great ! i,m starting to build the upper legs and incorporate it in the design.... also as you can see the starship mode will be as accurate as it can be ! hope you like it !
now this is looking sooo amazing! but what makes me sad is the fact that hasbro will never release an actual toy of it! but @ least we get to see you taking a shot @ it! cant wait too see this one all completed! what class exactly will it be?
How do you make the styrene bend that far and relieve it from wanting to turn back straight? Do you heat it up of any other tips? iDD
well i really dont know which class but he,ll be about 13-14 inchs high.. well the trick is to choose a styrene sheet thickness that will give the desired effect without resorting to heating which might warp the plastic... usually a range of 0.20- 0.50 will be easely bendable for a project this scale.... you can glue the piece a short distance at a time in a piece that bends on another... dont glue the entire piece in one shot... that way you,ll be able to have you shape more easily...
i,ve re-done the upper legs (again) and the new system works like a charm... it,s still in it,s basic structural phase but coming great !! also the waist part has started and it looks great !! the animated series pieces are very different then i,m used to (curves) but i think i,m managin to have it done right !!
