I think people are worried that this cartoon is made to appeal to kids, not adults.

Prime being a fire truck again will be awesome. As iconic as it may be, the semi alt mode has been beaten like a dead horse.

I love some of the new animation style we've seen lately, especially from some of the guys on this creative team. I'm not sold on just their names alone, but I'm cautiously optimistic. If nothing else, an original series not forced out of a Japanese story has more going for it out the gate than AEC did.

I am very much looking forward to seeing more.

This iteration could prove to be quite stylish, and I hope the writing is superb.

I imagine we will see and hear more at Botcon, hopefully we will all be blown away.

So prolly since I didn't watch Beast Wars I didn't care as much. But once again, as long as it doesn't become Transformers meets Pokemon again, I'll give it a shot.

I personally won't mind something along the lines of Clone Wars in terms of style.

People worry too much about the teen titan guys workin gon this. I've said it before and I'll say it again. You know those classic figures everyone is head over heels for? Take a closer look, they look a lot like the DC animated series stuff. To make my point stronger look at Mirage that is a total animated style figure.

My call? The show will have a strong Classics feel to it and with the BM peopel on board my hopes are going up for a slightly more mature theme this series.

ANd if it does suck...we survived the A/E/C trilogy we will survive this.

    Thanx

Sorry if this has been said, but I think that the art style of this and how we've been told the look won't be like the movie and not entirely familiar makes me think that the transforming GI Joe vehicle is a good hint of what these toys will look like. Something like transforming Sigma Six vehicles.

They should have just used the Classics designs, IMO.
Ah, well... Long gone are the days of TF shows worth watching...

At least we still have IDW...

i can just tell the robot designs for the toon will suck.

teen titans and leigon of superheroes suck animation style wise and while one of those teaser images is obviously going to be bumblebee's head i just know it's going to be ultra stylised like the other shows this dude has designed for

Free at last! Free at last! O' Lord we are free at last. NO MORE CRAPIE JAPANESE STORIELINES PAIRED WITH INFERIOR ANIME ARTWORK.

By the way, who in thier right mind could hate Beast Machines, it was the last great TF series, which remained loyal to the Original TF's.

Change happens, it's ussually referred to as Progress.

Hope it looks more like The Batman instead of Leigon of Superheroes and Teen Titans.

looking at the "face" visible in the fourth image, I'm not happy about the designs.

Based on who's attached to the production, I'm VERY much looking forward to the new cartoon now. Say what you will about Beast Machines, but I believe it's the pinnacle of foreshadowing, character development, and serialization of any Transformer show thus far. To me, it's less a kids' cartoon, and more of a science fiction show that can appeal to many other audiences.

I feel it's the closest the franchise has gotten in escaping its Saturday-morning toy advertisement roots, as most other Transformer cartoons had just enough plot to give reason for a new robot or to show a new feature of a certain character.

    That's my opinion, though.

Because the cartoon is so close (I was expecting something in 2008 as to not conflict with the movie and its promotion throughout the rest of the year), I wonder if we'll see product soon? Maybe at Botcon? I know it doesn't make much sense to promote the cartoon as this convention will probably be movie-oriented, but I'm hoping we see something for the fall!

I am afraid we will get teen-titans kind of animation.
this makes me sad. What worked for Teen-titans does not guarantee it will work for
    the new Transformers show.
I will reserve my final judgment once I see the first episode.

Wow. Way to go on the top notch front page reporting. First they assume that I, as a hardcore fan, wouldn't be happy to hear Isenberg's involvement, which is not so.

Then they bring up Skir. Is Skir working on this series? NO. And even if he was, the last thing you need to bring up is those dumb death threats from complete idiots. Can't we get past the somewhat disliked Beast Machines? Compared to the 150+ episodes of Unicron Trilogy, Beast Machines was brilliant, and even comparing BM to other shows of the time it was pretty good. It was only closed minded "old school" fans who couldn't get past the animals and organic stuff on Cybertron.

But now those "old school" fans are expected to shape up and stop bashing the movie, while you can still openly bash Beast Machines? This kind of juvenile reporting might fly on other sites but I expect more for 2005.

I don't understand the picture. But I'm still psyched about the series.
