In the meantime, I do hope the "Pre-Production Art" panel that the Allspark Almanac authors are going to host at TFCon will have some Season 4 goodies.

 

They're hosting a what now?? :0c Did they confirm they'll have TFA stuff to show, or is that just hopeful speculation? I n e e d info.

They will be hosting a unique panel on The Art of Transformers: a rare look at behind-the-scenes production art at TFcon Los Angeles 2019 presented byThe Chosen Prime."

Specific content hasn't been announced yet. However, I don't think it's a coincidence that the authors of the Allspark Almanacs are hosting such a panel.

For now, it's just hopeful speculation.

 

It seems that story editor Marty Isenberg will be attending TFCon as well!

 

Is there secretly going to be an Animated reunion panel or something? Because now that’s four of the big names in Animated.

Just... stay away from the fan attempts. At least 90% of them (including the one I'm writing) break canon in some way.

 

The schedule for TFCon is up; looks like we're going to strike gold with an Animated Q&A session being hosted by Eric Siebenaler and Marty Isenberg!

 

Oh wow! I hope somebody records that in some form or another, be it by video or text transcript. Also hoping we get new info about literally anything, anything at all.

 

Bill Forster and Jim Sorenson are also hosting a behind-the-scenes panel on production art on Sunday.

Hmmmm. Whatever might that entail.

 

With all these Animated folks showing up and two panels about the show, I'm expecting confirmation on the show's continuation or cancellation. Is that dumb of me?   I mean either they'll say "yup it's coming back" or they'll give up hope for that continuation after a decade and answer some of the long-standing unanswered questions they woulda tied up in Season 4. At least, that's what I make of it.

Quietly crosses fingers hoping it's the former... C'mon Hasbro, have a heart ; - ;

 

You kidding? We all want it to be the former! Come on, Hasbro! Let Animated live again!

Either way, can I please say that TFCon is hosting an Animated reunion in addition to the G1 reunion? I mean, come on, there's no coincidence that so many big names from Animated are all going to be together at once.

 

I'd believe it. I just wish I had the means to travel so I could be there... OTL

 

I'm certain that someone will upload the panels to YouTube in due time. Heck, doesn't TFCon have their own YouTube channel?

 

I think they do, but sometimes recording panels aren't allowed, official or otherwise. I've seen a few cons do that but I don't know much about how TFCon treats their panels specifically, so maybe they will record and post it! It'd be nice to have a more professionally-done recording rather than one taken from someone's phone, but I'd rather have the latter than nothing. Regardless I'm gonna hope for the best  

 

I think it's a shame how some conventions don't allow for video recording of some panels. I think the world misses out on something when those don't become public. I get wanting to draw an audience, but there is nothing like being able to see that panel in person; it's the experience you need to sell, not just the content.

I've heard that sometimes the venue will charge you extra if you ask to officially record your event (panels, concerts, etc), so if that's the case I can understand why it happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Still sucks though. Otherwise I don't see a reason why stuff like this shouldn't be recorded.
