EDIT: FORGOT TO MENTION THERE IS A NEW RENDER OF BB FROM AOE ON PAGE 87

This isn't shocking news but I race and collect slot cars this was announced this morning in Carrera's website. If you download the catolog towards the back on pages 86 and 87 you can see the slot car set featuring Bumblebee and Lockdown. Carrera makes a really good product and sets like these are typically just under $100, for little kids they are a great way to introduce the hobby!!

here's the link and it's in the 2014 catalog on page 86 Lockdown and Bumblebee are featured later in the catalog sold individually outside of the set.

WHOA, there's a high quality pic of BBs new CGI model on page 87!

I can't pull pages from PDFs at work, but someone needs to!

The colour and stripe pattern do not match on the robot - that is cynical as hell.

He's got way more black on him than can possibly be explained. Am I supposed to imagine his black paint crawling across the surface or does it fold the middle of the stripe into 6 times it's surface area on the car just for giggles.

It's going to make Hasbro's task tricky as that stripe pattern combo is impossible without face parts.

    Gotta say....

The new design direction that we've seen on every bot so far is a really great evolution of what the first 3 films had.

Same level of detail but now there's more style incorporated to each design...a bit more personality with the armor now.

^Initially looking at the pics, I thought that AOE BB's black area was his front bumper.

On another note, there's really one thing I fear for the whole AOE Toyline........

    inaccurate wheel spokes

I do like how they kept his signature wheels on the back though.

OH LOOK GUYS LOCKDOWN'S BEEN CONFIRMED AS TBD OMGOMGOMG

^For people who do that, STAHP.

Egh. Still do not like it. It took the first trilogy's alien aspects and ramped it up by a 100.

At least it looks like this will be a lot easier to make a toy out of then Optimus. I can actually kind of picture where everything would go for a toy.

Noticed the lights underneath the slot cars? Red for Bumblebee and Purple for Lockdown. Autobots and Decepticons respectively.

The amount of yellow works just fine. You're looking straight down at his chest, not at the front of it. Open up the hood of a Camaro and you will see TONS of black plastic cladding everywhere, and it's behind the plastic front bumper too....if his hood is on his back as with the previous design, there's more than enough yellow.

All they really did was split the previous chest design horizontally (it was already split vertically) and move each part to the 4 corners of his chest. You can even see them in that pic despite the angle.

This Bumblebee does not need a weapon. He can just slice the cons up with his spiky pauldrons.

I don't see too much difference.

As for the actual racing set... it looks like it's probably better than the one seen earlier with the track going through Optimus's trailer and the modified Lambo.

Was about to ask "what scale is it?". Thank you, person who titled the thread.
Also important to me: Can the track be layered (changing a 2-lane/2-car track into a 4-lane/4-car track)?
I'm pretty sure that it can work with HO (1/64 slot) scale cars, but if someone can confirm this? Awesome. (I have a pair of General Lees, a Rosco patrol car, one or two Tyco Autobots, and a Tyco K.I.T.T. clone in bad need of mileage.)

That clear look at bumblebee gave me a clear reason to not buy the figure coning out
