    This looks downright fantastic.

I am going to buy both physical and digital.

The downside is that it’s only four issues.

There a few things I have to insist though. While it’s fine to introduce new concepts and existing concepts from after the Marvel run ended, please don’t outright contradict the original comics. Shockwave being a scientist where he wasn’t in the original Marvel comics is fine, because I see that as an expansion to the original characterisation.

And don’t go adding completely new characters or even generics. A background character I recognise makes the book richer to me than just some made up design. #0 shown there were generics aboard the Ark when it left Cybertron. I didn’t like that. There should have been more actual characters shown instead, including the Dynobots. And yes, Dynobots being their team name before they reach Earth is fine to me. I hated seeing dinosaurs on Cybertron before they reach Earth in Transformers stories.

Mixed feelings. I liked the '84 one shot well enough but I frequently find Furman's writing a bit impenetrable based on the syntax and language he employs. Plus before 84 I don't think we'd had a real solid furman experience since...oh god, Spotlight Galvatron?

Hope this continues in the vein of 84 but I will reserve judgement

So I'm extremely looking forward to this, however I'm slightly confused, a couple of the covers show jetfire, whereas in the marvel run shock wave created him on earth. I trust furman implicitly, but I don't see how he can retcon that one. Unless he decides its a completely different character called skyfire, and shockers based jetfire on him? Stranger things have happened....

I'm also still holding out the faintest hope that eventually furman and idw conveniently forget that rg1 ever happened, and bring us tf84 #81, set shortly after 80 instead of 20 yrs later....

I have no problem with Jetfire until I read it.

Based on Guidos art for Star Saber, this entire series could be written by a toddler just learning the English language and I would still pick it up

Beast Wars originally had Tigatron and Airazor being created on Earth; until Botcon created a backstory for them.

    This could be something similar.

Perhaps they'll break the glass ceiling and get to #81 in a four issue limited series this time?

I'm hoping that since #0 was only supposed to be a one shot and that it sold so well we now get a mini series that if this sells well we can get a monthly. There's four million years of story to tell here.
