Give me live action dumb ninja Tarantulas. D:<
Listen, im down for a Live action Beast wars crossing with Prime and the bots, but am I the only one who feal likes its too soon? I hoped that they would bulid up to this in some way with the Knightverse films going forward but alass here we are... Lets hope is good. Cant be worse than The Last Knight... Right?
Give me Rattrap sifting through garbage cans and silent, stealthy Waspinator.
It definitely feels a little too soon for Beasts at the moment. I’m wondering if this will be their intro movie, and we’ll get that solo film later down the road.
And no. Nothing can be worse than The Last Knight. That would be impossible, honestly.
lol what a dumbass.
That's definitely a plus side to the earlier Bay films being so... as they are, there's surely not many directions to go but up. Surely.
Oh I could prove you wrong.
Ah, just like being in 2007 again.
The worst thing they could do is retell the story of the Beast Wars cartoon. That's what the new comic is doing, and it's terrible. I want anything beast-related to be it's own thing so I'm not comparing it to my childhood memory, and thus won't have expectations of how it "should" be done.
I can't wait for people to expect a 1-to-1 adaptation and perfect representation of the original series only to be disappointed to see that it is a vague adaptation that takes the premise of robots turn into animals.
I wanna believe that as well, I do. But... at this point I've found whenever I say "surely this can't be worse than x or y" I've been proven wrong so I'm not willing to make bets like that anymore. :I
While I say adding beast wars charecters if they kept going with not focusing on a specific era is possible; G1 and Beast Wars....I don\'t think this will be a good combination. Sure there\'s the dinobots....but I don\'t think this will work.
Considering it's not Bayverse and is Knightverse, safe to say they're probably going to care about character integrity from here forward after the critical acclaim BB received
I mean... we'll definitely get decent adaptions as long as they don't do what the previous Bay films did. It doesn't have to be a 1-to-1 recreation, but it definitely needs to do better than most of the Bay era designs.
We know it can be done.
I wanted this to be a regular Transformers film rather than a Beast Wars or a mix of both. I'm hoping it's the scenario where they introduce some Beasts but isn't really focused on them. I rather have them saved for their own dedicated movie. If the 4chan leaks are true, then we'll get exactly that.
While I definitely agree with this and see the issue, perhaps if they do what @SPLIT LIP proposed there'd be much less room for them to mess up, and we could see the original BW Tech specs fleshed out into full characters, that'd be fascinating to see.
If they do do somewhat accurate Beast Wars characters (being robots with animal kibble), I’m curious the tact they take on the transformations so that it’s not completely horrific looking? (Picturing gnarly werewolf transformations)
I'm not expecting much from the live action movies, we know they will slap a name label willingly on a randomly created robot....... I just hope we get good toy and designs out of it.
I think he actually meant the story/characters. Like people are going to expect the Beast Wars cast exactly as they were in the original cartoon acting out the same story, but that ain't gonna happen.
But like I said, the best thing they could do is not retread "sacred ground." I'd honestly prefer if all the beasts were new characters, though I'll accept "new versions."
I'd like to think they learned their lesson from doing that and will hopefully aim to create actual characters with... character, going forward. But maybe I'm giving them too much credit, I just prefer to give things a chance, and waiting to see before making any judgements.
Possibly just 'panels', kind of like the original toys or maybe even this memorable scene from Total Recall
