This movie is in the bumblebee universe, so the characters will most likely look like how they did in bumblebee.

 

I don't doubt it, but the movie is directed by someone else though, who will have his own personal preferences and ideas, so it will be interesting to see what he plans to do. I also wonder if the characters will have new designs since the movie is apparently set in the 90s and you presume they'll have new vehicle modes that fit that time frame.

I mean, i rarely if at all trust people working on a film when they praise the director, i don't expect them to spit on the plate they're eating unless it was a stressful experience for them personally

 

On a slightly good thing "Transformers 7" has a Wikipedia page now. I noticed films they tend to wait for a film to start filming before making a page for a film, I noticed it first with Black Adam, and I mostly only look at Wikipedia for an organized list of the cast.

 

The MCU, DCEU, and MonsterVerse have all had different directors.

The DCEU quite literally had directors with different visual preferences affecting the visual direction of different movies though, Marvel to a lesser extent due to having a ship that is run tighter but you can still see how directors preferences did affect things like color schemes and other details of each film.

And that is not mentioning the fact that the Bumblebee movie itself has characters that look like simplified versions of the old movie robots but also has a cybertron populated instead by robots that look more like "what if the WFC game robots had more grit and moving parts". Dropkick, Shatter and Bumblebee don't really fit with Arcee and Ironhide, so even on a "continuing the Bee movie universe" basis it'll still be interesting to see if they'll go with the blockier man-faced robots from Cybertron or if they'll go with the "bayformers but smoother" of the Earth robots.

 

While I always tend to doubt the validity of these sorts of things, that's a pretty nice logo!

I think they should keep the blocky side on Cybertron and on Earth when they get new alt modes, they should show a little more small details. I am very curious on how different they will look, it's clear the film is a sequel to Bumblebee as we get lots of Bumblebee movie figures next year.
