Wait whatt!? Wasn't it canceled?
Apparently not but did you watch the video?
Just reboot the movies cause I don't know if they well retcon the other movies or continue from last knight.
No I haven't,just jumped into assumtion lol
There is no "next Transformers movie."
There is no writer, no director, no script, no release date, nothing. This is pure speculation by someone who is not an insider and has no more information than any of the rest of us.
Seriously, it's not happening. TLK was a asteroid-hitting-the-Earth level disaster for the franchise and is a narrative dead end anyway because as much as people seem to THINK Unicron being the Earth is significant in some way, it really isn't because he can't transform without killing all of humanity and we all know that's not happening when the films kiss humanity's ass like it's the goddamn Blarney stone. And given the absolute disconnect between the plots of AoE and TLK, it's likley Unicron wouldn't even be mentioned whatsoever in a theoretical sequel.
Let it die already, people. Move on.
TLK was really, really terrible. I thoroughly enjoyed all the 4 movies, but this...it can go to hell. I don't want to see any sequel from TLK,unless there's a miracle that could make the sequel reeaally good.
This more or less just tells us what we already knew. There was a Transformers installment due out in 2019 and it was postponed indefinitely.
I could be wrong but I seriously doubt that there'll ever be a direct sequel to the The Last Knight. At this point, that film could be anything.
Leastwise, I don't think there could be one that's truthful to the circumstances present by the end of TLK and not just resetting the clock for more of the same. And even that would require cutting the wheel hard-left and going down a road sufficiently different for the franchise that I can't see either Paramount or Hasbro being comfortable with it.
If its postponed, at least give us some decent writers to write the script for TF7
remove Michael Bay... put decent directors on the list, and let the fans choose.
Didn't the thread creator mean Transformers 6?
I expect they might be waiting to see how Bumblebee is received.
You do realize that Lorenzo di Bonaventura flat out said they were in the early planing for a new movie now that they arent working on bumblebee.
Its not some speculation from an outside source.
From the front page 6 days ago
Speaking to Den Of Geek, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura revealed that a new Transformers live action movie is currently being planned.
At the moment, they have no exact idea on what sort of a story it should be. Paramount is also looking for a new writer.
“What’s interesting is we are talking about a movie that made $650 million, the last one. It’s not exactly dead. I think what we’re doing is we’re having a script written soon. We put it aside a little bit because we were all focused on Bumblebee, and that takes a lot of time and creative attention.
Now that we’ve come up for air, we’ve been meeting with writers and sort of formulating where we’re going to go with that franchise. We’re meeting with some of the most successful writers in our business, so they’re certainly not shying away from spending a lot of money on a script. Doesn’t mean we’re going to make a movie, but when you deal with studios, you get a sense of the current. My sense of the current is they absolutely want to make another one. They just don’t know how much they want to spend on it. That’s my sense of it.”
TLK was a complete disaster and it does not need a continuation. The Bayformers sage is damaged beyond repair. Just move on people.
You might want to re-read the large bold text there. Well, re-read ALL of Lorenzo's words. Because they back up my post 100%.
AT LEAST FINISH THE DAMN UNICRON ARC BEFORE DOING A FUCKING REBOOT
You there is no movie so someone saying it doesn't mean were not making one are two different meanings
THERE. IS. NO. UNICRON. ARC.
And there never was. It was just a throwaway mention. If it eases you at all, think about it like the ending to Dark Knight Rises, with Joseph Gordon Levitt discovering the batcave. Leave the rest to the imagination and let the movie verse properly reboot like it should. Please.
I didn't say they weren't planning any more movies. I'm sure they are. But as it stands there is no future Transformers movie in existence.
