    700 EXTRAS?!??!! THIS IS HUGE!!!!!

I'd expect them to film their for a while due to the fact that they need that amount of cast, crew, and extras. Not to mention that they'll also be needed for filming in the UK, right?

They're probably going to need a good chunk of that $21 mil to be spent on bottled water.

While this decision was probably brought about because of those incentives. I think detroit would be a smart location for a Transformers film in the narrative. I mean Transformers Animated suggested a future detroit that innovated in robot production where it once did for automobiles.

I mean Car Robots just fit that thematically.

Maybe their going to film in Detroit because it looks like a post war wasteland?

I was about to mention that myself. I also think AOE had a lot of Animated elements thrown into the movie and it would be sweet if it continued in TF5 as well.

All that and they just throw the backgrounds in the recycle bin or replace the skyline with even more tasteless casinos in post. When you can recognize features it gives odd perspective. I was more worried about the Boblo boat than Ratchet.

I'd bet my company gets called again to work on the set. We did the first and last movies when they filmed in Detroit. Did Real Steel, Red Dawn (remake) and Superman vs Batman as well.

700?! Dang that's a lot. But I guess they had about that many extras for each of the other movies...right? Can't recall.

Congratulations, Michigan! Don't worry about the lead in your water, you can pay for TF5 instead. Hard to say which is more poisonous or brain-damaging.
