    So.... yeah.... We got a movie with NO Decepticons in it?!?! I am trying hard to remember, but I didn't see a single Decepticon insignia on any of the Cons. All but Lockdown were manmade, so they are NOT actual Decepticons! Lockdown didn't have any either (that I saw, may have missed). He is also a bounty hunter who goes around gathering beings and relics, not limited to only Autobots (or other Transformers for that matter). He stated heworks for the creators, so he is not really either an Autobot OR a Decepticon, is he? So...AOE had ZERO Decepticons in it. Now, I may be wrong, as 80% of the movie there were bots rolling around, exploding, transforming (or parts-sploding), and the camera was never still or un-shaky the entire movie.

    Galvatron was a decepticon at the end of the film. Technically...

    No he was still just built (or, I guess "rebuilt") but NOT by Unicron or other Decepticons. BUilt by humans...using Transformium, so I guess if that counts, just because it is THEIR metal..... But he was built without a spark!!!!

    True...still...he did not have a spark...which they even say in the movie is like the soul...the memories and life force of a transformer....so I'd not consider Galvatron a cybertronian any longer...

    Well he technically has parts of cybertronians minds, and he has something bright in his chest, so I guess you can call him... A hybrid cybertronian

    But Galvatron is Megatron. They say that.

    Does one HAVE to be a full fledged Cybertronian to be a Decepticon?

    It's like Hydra from the Winter Soldier, just because they're not wearing the Hydra Logo doesn't mean they aren't Hydra.

    No one does not... One could argue Dylan from tf3 was a human decepticon but anyway yes there was 1 decepticon and it was Megatron/Galvatron and it is Megatron which is clearly stated in the film and i think his "spark" is his burning chest piece because Megatron is always filled with burning hatred and rage.

    I noticed the lack of Decepticons in the movie too. I think Galvatron and Stinger were technically the only "Decepticons" in the entire movie, with LockDown being more of a Bounty Hunter in the same vein as Bobba Fett in the Star Wars movies (i.e., no affiliation to either side: good or bad). I even asked myself, where are the Decepticons while watching the movie.

    Such a horrible movie. lol

    If any cons were left on earth they were in hiding as well, but they were harder to find because the cons weren't the ones working for the us gov, the bots were. Since they were leaderless and didnt want to get captured/killed, they probably did what they do best, and took disguises which they still remain in, until someone like megatron can return to restore the cons to their former glory

    What if Galvatron was an example how Optimus was wrong about the spark being the soul? Galvatron's soul is a giant death hole, he built that on himself for a purpose.

    Actually, they say that Galvatron is Megatron reborn
    Megatron's deadhead basically copied his brain patterns into the new body
    but it's not megatron. Megatron is still a head in a lab.
    There's a reason Galvatron refers to HIMSELF as Galvatron. And a reason his plot revolved around establishing fear in the populace and announcing his arrival, rather than just stopping prime.

    He's a clean slate, but still megatron-minded.

    he was built with out a spark. which is why he said he has no more fears.
    but he was still sentient. and undoubtably

    Well, don't forget there's several more "Seekers" still hidden in the US that noone knows about (they only woke up Jetfire).

    I think they said towards the start of the movie that there was still 12 Decepticons on Earth that escaped the battle of Chicago, but then we never see them. Hopefully Galvatron will find them and become their new leader in TF5.

    I hope few of them are Cyclonus, Scourge, the Sweeps, and maybe 2 or 3 seekers.

    That's what I'm hoping for too, I'd like Blitzwing and/or Skywarp as well.

    Galvatron = Megatron

    Megatron = Decepticon

    Therefore Galvatron = Decepticon

    The drones come to life had obviously shown sentience. It was never explained how or why, but it's evident that they are pretty well defined as new Decepticons.
