Definitely looks much more refreshing and realistic.

I'm just worried that when the scene cuts, there's some sparks in the background. I don't see why sparks need to be in that scene, because grass is not explosive.

 

I can understand if there are some sparks but the way they had it at first was just way too much and not needed. He is a large mechanical beast made of metals and electronics so those things hitting and smashing up against each other should produce some sparking and arcing. But the massive Baysplosions had to go lol.

 

I think the scene is just cutting off earlier in the TV spot. Seems about the same explosion-wise.

 

I think the flame-producing mechanism in Grimlock's T-Rex throat got jostled around when he hit the ground, thus producing those flames. At the same time, it is something Bay loves to do, LOL!! Bay reminds me of that kid in, "Super 8" that was the pyromaniac, LOL!

 

No it's definitely been altered. The sparks start to come out of his head as soon as he spins upright in the teaser trailer. And in this new spot, the sparks don't start yet. Also has anyone noticed OP does not do the super awesome power yell when Grim is charging. Now its more of just a low yell?

The sound effect that lockdowns gun makes is also different now. Instead of the classic ballistic thud of a normal rifle would make, its got more of a futuristic gun sound. More like a laser or a charged weapon going off.

 

I checked both the spot and teaser footage. They're the same, the fire starts at the head in the new one too. Only difference is the color grading.

 

I just did a screen grab side by side and you're right. Color grading does make it look a whole lot different.

 

It's a snippet of the yell we heard in the teaser trailer and it's overpowered by the music. It's the same, exact yell.

I am loving the look of Lockdown's ship, they really improved the detail on the ship.

 

Grimlock is probably starting to transform after he hits the ground to duke it out with the Prime. But he should probably take Megatron's advice to fight as a beast
