I'll have to take my Asian hookers elsewhere now.
Something else thatd be nice is just CGI in structural damage to the hotel that takes away any legal copyright claim.
Screw China, I say the next non-USA country they film Transformers in is either Ireland or New Zealand. Both are beautiful.
Chinese Sponsor Wants Out Of 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction' - Deadline.com
Could this issue affect the film’s release? I’m told no. A source says, “This is all about product placement, they didn’t feel like they got full promotion and exposure.” But, it has “nothing to do with distribution.”

Just say along lines of you're unhappy (make sure to sound extremely dissapointed) that you guys canceled the contract with Transformers and would like to know why that cancellation was made. Worth a try.
sounds like bullshit to me.
i don't see how this film could destroy a reputation to such an extent that it's experiencing losses. .. in china no less.
people literally want to sue for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING these days.. it's not surprising.. i just wonder if this lawsuit is just going to make them look worse, and ruin business even more.
maybe they filmed the outside, and used a different location for the inside.. who knows.
The hotel is in Beijing not Hong Kong. Just sayin'
or just say that you were planning a trip to china and were planning on staying at the hotel, but you've now changed your mind. lol
i wonder how they'd react if they got a flood of emails like that.
To be honest, I did something along the lines of that, haha.
Oooh, either way it's still a huge place xD
Yeah no kidding
i'd like to see a city in the UK invaded by the TF's, hell anywhere in Europe would be nice.
I can see them doing England actually, what with Crosshairs and the medieval knights theme they have going on.
If we're doing Europe, I vote Rome or Athens. Not for any reason in particular, they just look cool
That'd be cool. It was refreshing to see London as the location of the final battle of Thor last November.
Maybe these are the same fuckers that assaulted Bay on set? They both sound full of it.
May I join the party? Anyways, this is really weird... Hope they resolve this and the movie isn't affected.
They know the movie will make a shit load of money and they want part of the action there just looking for a big payday from it .
Mhhm, that's what I was thinking. The guy would decide to bail right when release is around the corner.
Yeah Personally I think that they Just want Money Money Money, in fact if this damages the film and if I become an Author and go to China I will publicly state I will not stay in their Hotel for what they did to Transformers 4
Out of curiosity- does anybody here know what the Chinese legal system is like?
Because if it's anything like the US legal system, starting a lawsuit at this point in time to remove your image from a movie would be totally useless, as it could take a year or more just to get to court (and by that time the movie would already be on DVD and widely distributed).
Is it possible that they hoped to finance part of the movie, then sue once the movie was over to recoup the money spent? Knowing full well that the movie would be seen/DVDs sold before the case even got started? Perhaps they were thinking they could get free publicity this way? Something here just seems off.
