Please, dear God, never in life let this happen. I'm fine with them working on two new ones back to back, but I just can't see Jason Statham in a TF movie. For all the complaining about the focus on humans in the three already, this would be way worse.

I'm kinda burned out on movies. I'd like to see someone other than Bay direct one though. But for people who like the movieverse good news I guess. One request: Please remember that I go to a Transformers movie for Transformers not puny fleshlings which I can see starring in any of the other 99.9% of movies produced by the human race.

I kinda like the idea someone had as Lennox as the main human character though.

I love the movies. But I don't go around yelling, "Do another movie now and scrap the rest!!"

Nor do I say, "TF Prime sucks. I'll only watch the movies so Hasbro/Paramount should quickly do another one."

If the movies come, it comes. I'm a big fan of them, and I've always said that i'll eagerly look forward to TF4 with much anticipation, but I have never, never spouted banalities that it should come at the expense of everything else that other people might like.

If Hasbro/Paramount decides to concentrate on the cartoons first, by all means do so.

Different people like different things. There are things I don't like too, but I don't make sweeping generalizations that just because I don't like it, they're automatically crap, and everyone else should be deprived of it, to cater to what I want first.

It's akin to me saying, "I have no interest in the cartoons. They're bullshit and who would want to watch that. Scrap it and focus on a 4th movie with Michael Bay instead". Would that sit right with you? I doubt it.

Money can change almost anyone's mind, even Michael "EXPLOSIONS!" Bay. ;)

Filming back to back could work. It all depends on how good the scripts are. LotR is an epic classic and BttF tied together rather well.

Wouldn't it be more like 3 years?

The releases for next summer are pretty much set at this point so even if the production team could start in the morning and work 24/7 we aren't going to see the forth movie in the summer of 2012. Putting the next film at least in the summer of 2013.

If films 4 and 5 are filmed back to back it isn't every likely they will show both films in the same summer so at least summer 2014 for film 5.

Throw in all the DVD, Blu Ray and toy releases to keep keep the fan conflict going long after the summer movie season is over and there should be enough conflict to keep you entertained for a while :D

Oh, yeah. That's definitley what Michael Bay was thinking. Even with all that disgust he had when he took the job.

I can think of lots of things better than the shitty movies we've gotten.

    Marvel UK G1
    Beast Wars
    Furman's IDW
    Last Stand of the Wreckers
    James Roberts's two Ongoing issues
    War for Cybertron
    Animated
    Prime
    Classics
    Alternators
    Cybertron's toyline
    Japanese Beast Wars toys
    Sky-byte
    SCOURGE
    G1 reissues
    Masterpiece Grimlock

I think it's more closed-minded to call those who don't agree with you "closed-minded". If something looks, smells, and soils the carpet like a turd sandwich, I'm in no way obligated to take a bite and like it.

And because of that, a lot of those kids think Optimus Prime should be a face-taker and Bumblebee should never speak. Does that sound right to you? Are you happy and grateful that Bumblebee's whole character has been reduced to a gimmick? Do you like how Optimus Prime's morality was stolen away by a rich Hollywood director who wanted more gore-porn?

I miss those days, when I wasn't automatically associated with crap blockbusters because I like Transformers. I miss the days when scalpers didn't watch the TF section of the toy aisles like a hawk. I miss the days when certain fans didn't worship parts of the brand just because they made money.

    Oh, yes. I remember.

    Speak for yourself.

    Bull. Freaking. Shit.

The brand was strong and healthy. Any old transforming Power Rangers toy was labeled a "transformer" by ignorant masses, because that's how recognizable the brand still was!

If I don't like Bayformers, I should just take a hike?

And most of us like Transformers for more than blind 80's nostalgia.

And Transformers had a future before Bay came along, and it still has a future without Bayformers.

    Thank you and goodnight.

Both WEP & Harmony Gold are riding the TransFormers fame, finally getting live action Voltron & Robotech (respectively) movies green lit, because TransFormers paved the way. They'd both been trying since at least 2005, but it wasn't until the TF movies went Blockbuster that interest in live action Giant Robot movies was generated...

Unfortunately, both originating in Japan, they've been having problems getting all the red tape cut, but both should be in development soon, if they aren't already.

Whether or not I like the movies, I have no choice but to be thankful for the buzz they've generated, so that more of my childhood franchises can get similar -- hopefully better -- treatment.

I was hoping the next movie would focus more on him and Epps, and they could use their kids to bring in the children viewers. As for bringing back Ironhide, doubt it, but I won't be against it. However, I do hope they focus more on Sideswipe.

And if Staham is in it, perhaps he can play a bad guy! He was actually really good in Cellular.

Is that really his fault though, or the director's? And, well, I hope I don't get shot, but there were some emotional scenes. I thought Sam's reaction to the Autobot's staged deaths, Bumblebee's almost getting executed and when he found out that Dillon killed people and was a backstabber was good. And then Tyrese surprised me with his showing complete lack of faith when he got to Chicago. There is emotion there, it's just we don't get a chance to truly get deep into it because the director has to throw in some comedy bits.

did you know that transformers prime is Produced by Alex Kurtzman .... executive producer (20 episodes, 2010-2011)
Roberto Orci .... executive producer (20 episodes, 2010-2011)

if bay was to step down as director he can be a producer instead.

and it was rumored that speilberg was going to take his place.

for a transformers 4 i like to see a quint.
