So what does everyone make of the beginning?

To me it looks like Galvatron might be discovered. I mean first they show what looks to be an excavation site of some kind. Then he is on a table with ice all around him. I guess that could be where they are building him but seems odd that he would need to be in or around ice.

Just a curious first couple of scenes.

 

Can't wait to see Grimlock transform and the rest of the dinobots.

 

Mabye someone got a hold of megatrons corpse and they are reverse engineering it, rebuilding it?

I hope Galvatron has ties to Megatron.

It's so sad, once again a trailer full of promise and hope, but so obviously stained by Bay and the toilet humor and idiocy to come.

 

 

You know I think you really summed up my feeling.

In Captain America the Winter Soldier we saw the destruction of three helecarriers. Godzilla is hinting at some destruction on a natural disaster level instead of just something big stomps a building. The X-Men trailer has Magneto picking up a stadium.

With all the cutting edge special effects and big screen high definition destruction from other films Transformers 4 is feeling rather underwhelming right now.

 

Freaking awesome trailer - can't wait for this movie to come out!

Giant ships hovering over a city, robots dangling from wires over a city, robots flipping around & blowing up in the streets of a city, alien fighter ships flying between buildings of a city, humans reverse engineering a "dead" Megatron, Prime being shot to hell, Autobots being hunted, Prime doing a running slice & dice rampage through a bunch of bad guys... feels like we've seen all this before.

 

The fight scenes, and ESPECIALLY the camera angles in Pacific Rim were shit.

I think it comes down to how you blow shit up because a lot of shit is getting blown up this summer. Transformers 4 will bring the big screen destruction but it's sort of been there done that destruction.
