Literally a case of diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, it looks unfinished to me or like the kind of panel art before you'd see a panel of a POV snapping into focus from being blurred.
But those aren't silhouettes. This is a silhouette. Ironically the art is too detailed to be a silhouette and not detailed enough to be good character art.
I'm enjoying this slow build. Also, I want more of this Cyclonus. I feel like he has untold stories, including why he self-secluded himself despite his insanity.
This is important worldbuilding, right here. Whenever a bot enters a room with other bots, all the others immediately request a handslap from the one entering. It's just like when a guest enters on "The Late, Late Show." ~L~
Then why claim their silhouettes? What's the excuse you have for these here? The figures are too close and large to be distance shots, yet they still look like this.
Story is fine. The art is genuinely terrible. This is not professional quality work. It belongs on the internet.
After reading the comics in full at last thanks to Free Comic Book Day's discounts, I want to mention I'm super interested and engaged with the worldbuilding going on. I'm very excited to learn more about the Mentor/Mentee relationship (is it similar to a parent and child relationship? How long do they usually last, for life or only for a few days as the new person gets their bearings?) and I'm curious as to how Cyberton's relationships to other worlds will be affected by the incoming civil war. I would like it if the pace were a bit quicker, however the content that is here is very engaging for me and I'm incredibly curious. Eager to see more!
It's ongoing? I mean. it's just. Why? Can we petition IDW & their coitery of "talent" to fire the hell out of the creative team?
It's too early to tell, give them 12 issues to judge. You don't need a petition if it's really bad. Hell, we can't even have TAAO going on even it's good but the sale just starts slipping.
Yeah I would take it as it’s ongoing but the sales on the first 12 will decide what’s next. Continue with 13, start a new #1 with same creative team and same universe (soft reboot), or hard reboot (again) Or .....cancel.
Honestly, they need Simon Furman as the series editor. I know he has a different project in the works, but still... As for a writer? Roberts is done, so Barber has no one to copy, so thats two to check off the list. Ruckly should really consider writing for NPR - I mean... that puts you right to sleep. It's a perfect fit! (So that's three down) Who could IDW afford as a writer that doesn't suck?
