since we're all caught up in the moment with new superbowl trailer & news of the toyline of Dark of the Moon! we seem to have forgotten one thing!(well! several things actually!) & they are....is this Bay's final TF film? (& if so!) who's going to do the reboot? & in what style...handheld camera like Cloverfield? or a full realistic looking CG film like...both Final Fantasy Films, TMNT, Beowulf...ect! & more importantly! who's going to appear in it(that NEVER appeared in Bay's!)...Trypticon? Metroplex? Dinobots? Omega Supreme? or even Unicron?

 

Im going with reboot but fuck that I want a 4th film

In what world are reboots a given?

 

In the world where fanboys are the most important things to the movie producers and where Hasbro doesn't love money and will, of course, do things like make a Leader Blackout, a Supreme class Animated Omega Supreme, make all the transformations intricate because f*ck the kids, and will cover their toys in paint apps.

I'm guessing that world.

 

I agree, lets see how the 3rd one is first before anything.

Personally if Bay does do it right and it truly is as Dark as everyone is hoping for then id much rather see a 4th film before a reboot.

Whomever does take the reins id hope will continue with a darker theme over anything else.

 

Anything, of course, is possible. But I think I remember hearing Bay mention that this movie ends the trilogy nicely. Almost like, he wrote this so that another movie really couldn't or shouldn't be made (or at least, not made without some serious work since this movie eliminates any easy way to make a sequel in the Bayverse).

So, from that way of thinking, I get the vibe that either A) All, or almost all of the Decepticons and Autobots die, leaving little meat for a sequel, or B) All of the robots that aren't dead leave Earth willingly or forceably, making a sequel (on Earth, at least) harder to pull off.

Again, if this movie rocks, of course I want more. But it sounded like Bay is eliminating the possibility in his version.

 

One of the easiest ways to make the triology end and make it near impossible for any sequels of it to be made, would to be to kill off Bumblebee

we all know the trilogy couldn't continue without Bumblebee

 

Not if Bay introduces Cliffjumper to replace him. After all, their 80's toys transformed exactly the same.

Why can''t they accept the fact that another robot might look the same as another we know? Blackout and Grindor are prime examples.

As much as I like Brawl, Long haul and Sideway's designs. It would be nice to see new characters

 

Barry is getting a toy so there is an 85% chance he's in the movie.

 

I HATE it when they say things like "BLACKOUT IS GRINDOR!!!" "BAY IS TRYING TO TRICK YOU!!!". It's almost like a religion to them...

"ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY BLACKOUT!!! HE SHALL NOT BE REPLACED BY THE DEVIL GRINDOR!!!"
