Went to a 3D movie recently, hated it because of the bunky unsightly glasses, would have enjoyed the movie without them.

Besides does anyone seriously want to see a 3D version of something we don't want to see? I still remember 'below enemy scrotum' scene, just no.

Sounds like some people don't know what they're talking about. Red/Cyan Anaglyph 3D is strictly for home viewing.

3D in theatres is done with polarised lenses. It's vastly more effective that way, and cannot be reproduced in the home.

I have to agree with Bay in that I really don't like the conversion process either. Movies that are filmed in 3D look really nice, but the conversion films are more like those little round disks you put in the viewing toy as a kid. Yea it's a 3-D look but it's just looks so fake.

Pooh poohing the technology just because he hasn't figured out how to best utilize it seems rather premature. This is the same director who broke from film tradition who is now sounding like one of the old directors railing how the talkies or color would never take off because it was just a fad.

Still I'd rather wait until he was actually comfortable with the technology first because some of his shots are already a bit too jumbled and hard to follow like it is, I'm not sure if adding more layers of confusion about what you are looking at would help.

I just don't want to hear any bitching about how the film didn't make more than so and so because Transformers 3 was in 2-D while some other film was in 3-D.

I feel very uncomfortable wearing those 3D glasses because I'm already wearing prescription ones. The added weight of the 3D glasses make my ears hurt...

    no 3D!!
Avatar didn't become "the highest-grossing film of all time" because it was in 3D.
it was because it had a good story!
not every new movie needs to be in 3D.

I'd say I am glad that it might be kept 2D.

i dont think it should be done in 3D! that is a stupid idea they should be given a bigger time frame n actually shoot it with the proper cameras if they are... but i would prefer it to be normal in the first place anyway... its dumb not every movie should be 3D only lil kids movies...

I agree with Mr. Bay. If it's done right, by all means. But if it's jus an attempt to make more money... then no.

When i hear a film is in 3D i start suspecting it's becasue they've neglected elements such as... oh, the story.

..and that's something they should be more concerned about with TF3 than 3D.

    No.

3-D hurts my eyes and annoys me, everything should just stay 2-D.

    Poor server farms

Man... if its gonna be in 3D... i feel really bad for the rendering server farms... I mean... the last movie made a couple of the machines catch fire.... imagine what doing all that + doing it in 3D will do.

The only film I've seen in 3D so far is Alice In Wonderland. I found the 3D aspect very distracting and forced - it was disconcerting to continuously have out-of-focus plants thrust to the forefront of your visual field, detracting from the in-focus layer where stuff was actually happening.

I understand that film was a conversion, so I heartily agree with Bay that it should be NO to a TF3 conversion. Maybe films made in 3D are better, I haven't seen any yet.

Bay's films may be popcorn hollywood at it's most shallow, but damn, I like the guy - "You can’t just shit out a 3D movie."

I say what the heck. Go for 3d. That way if the movie stinks at least there will be some eye-catching features and something thats new and gimmicky about it.

Still, there's got to be a good story (unlike ROTF) before there's a foundation for anything decent in the realm of visual.

My eyes sometimes can't see 3D right.

When I saw Monsters vs Aliens I found my vision was weaker with the 3D.

But I don't really care if TF3 is in 3D or not, as long as it's better than ROTF.

I really rather it not be 3d. This whole 3d glasses thing is just 'meh' just another reason for them to add $3 + to a ticket and then the not the whole movie is done in 3d. Now that said however if they made a tech that did 3d without the glasses and used it on movies that need it instead of just the sack of it. then yeah be really sweet. think I'll stay for 2D

I'm a fan of 3D movies. I love seeing stuff pop out of the screen at you all in your face. Who here saw Monsters Vs. Aliens in 3D? Remember the paddle ball right at the beginning of the movie? Yeah, that was awesome. However, lets face it: so far its been a fad that was there merely to draw in viewers in order to sell tickets. If Transformers 3D can't be done right, it shouldn't be done at all. Watching an animated movie with obvious levels of 3D popping out at you is ok, its forgivable, but when its live action and not that stupid Killer Paranas 3D shit, then just don't do it and save us the grief.

Because color and 3D are both ways in which we are supposed to see the world. It ain't brain surgery.

    AAAGGHHHH, my eyes!!!

I had to take the glasses off and finish watching Avatar all fuzzy because 3d gave me such a headache. I would be just as happy watching these movies the normal way without 3d
