I just been doing some thinking and I was wondering, what will the 3 leader class figures be for Transformers 3? I know the 2 of them might be Optimus and Megatron, but what about the third one? Out of the lare machines in the next movie I estimate the third leader will be either Shockwave, the Fire truck or the armored truck.

 

Shockwave most certainly will be getting a Leader class, but I would like a Leader class Ironhide.

 

Leader sized Rodimus Prime,who is hopefully the european styled Fire truck

Leader sized shockwave,Who is hopefully the cancelled Aircraft carrier from TF2 & is now in the TF3 movie.

Leader sized Optimus Prime,Who is hopefully a PMOP updated homage. a ultra sized cab/bot combines with his trailer for a super mode.

 

What about Megatron?

 

Depends on what character Hasbro thinks will be the most popular with the kids. The leader class has a large potential for profit, but they are too expensive to sell real well. Judging by the wall of Brawls (think Mudflap, only leader class) the local Toys'R'Us still had 9 months after he came out, he was a bet that didn't pay off to well for Hasbro.

So if the firetruck is Rodimus... well, the prices that Classics Rodimus is going for, makes me think he might be a character who could sell a leader class toy.

EDIT: Oh, and I agree that leader Optimus and Leader Megatron are pretty much given.

 

They better make Shockwave a leader. That would be awesome!

 

It doesnt depend on who's biggest, it depends on who has the biggest role or interacts with another leader figure(jetfire)

Well, at least hasbro said it was biggest role, but honestly I have no idea why we got a leader class brawl instead of blackout.

 

Perhaps a re-release of ROTF Prime with his trailer as a supreme class?

Leaders I'd expect a priority on making a ROTF Prime comparable Megatron, with a shockwave somewhere in the pipeline. (or at least a tall voyager) Shockwave, on the autobot side, perhaps the fire truck... I don't know, whoever is appropriate. A leader Ironhide or Ratchet scaled to work with the Human Alliance figures would be sweet.

 

That Tanker Truck would be awesome as a Leader Class. I don't really think Voyager would do it justice myself.

 

Uh, duh! Shockwave. I've always wanted a Leader Class Shockwave.


I can see "Shackwave" and "G1 Deco Shockwave". I'm hoping they do a G1 Deco Shockwave.

 

I would kill for a Leader class Blackout/Grindor/anythingcopterbot.

 

to have both optimus & megatron as leader sized toys in TF3. kinda limits the toy size choices for other bigger sized popular starring characters in the TF3 toy line.

in TF3 megatron should be a voyager sized toy.

 

Well, I voted for Shockie because of the wording of the poll: I do think he's worthy of the class. But I expect he will get the Voyager treatment like The Fallen.

 

And this is why Wollstone is my most favourite person ever.

Ironhide, pleeeeease Hasbro.

But I think the big characters of TF3 (like Shocky) would get one. Megatron and Starscream did.

 

There are SO many characters from the movie franchise that are deserving of Leader Class figures it's not even funny. Ironhide, Blackout, several Constructicons. But if Shockwave looks even slightly badass, then he must have a Leader Class figure.

The reason the Fallen got shafted was because they needed Jetfire as a Leader to get the combo down. If Prime doesn't do anything that ridiculous in this movie then we could have Shockwave take that spot.

And then have Ironhide or Blackout as the fourth Leader. ^_^

With Shockwave being the "main" villain,he's gotta get a Leader Class figure.

Anywho, I hope for a Shockwave, but I have an aching feeling that it won't happen. The fire truck and oil truck seems like they'd be Voyagers. The two of them don't look important enough to merit a giant toy (Of course I see Brawl there on my shelf... So who knows?).

 

My guess for two of the slots are Shockwave and maybe a new-mold Megatron.

I really don't see Prime as getting the third slot again. They've gotten decent mileage out of the ROTF leader already, and I totally see them having a redeco/remold of that new voyager in the TF3 line, and it's so close to the leader that they may feel he'd upstage a third release of that. Why would kids spend $30 to $50 on a toy that's just a larger version of a $20 toy, and which they've already bought two or three times?

A redeco/slight remold of HftD leader Starscream might get the third slot... But then again that would be giving all three slots to villains, which is unlikely.

as being a distinct possibility... but honestly I'd think that at least one of the TF3 leaders would be a re-release of a previous mold (for cost reasons).

They may pull another "The Fallen" and only give the main villain a voyager slot again...
