DISCLAIMER: I can’t believe I need to say this DON’T POST/TALK ABOUT YOUR FANFICTION OR SOMEOME ELSE’S IN MY THREAD. THANK YOU.

    Episodes so far

    Episode 1: “Shockwave’s Revenge”
    TF2030S01E01.pdf
    Episode 2: “Beginnings and Endings”
    TF2030S01E02.pdf

If you want me to read something you have written or someone else has private message me. This is not the place for it. It is also disrespectful. I read what other people write all the time, but this is not the proper channel for feedback.

The purpose of this show is to be like the X-Men '97 of Transformers. I've actually been writing variations of this idea for a while (maybe 20 years?)

I usually do not share notes, and I have shared a script called Transformers '27 on here which is the same basic story for the first three episodes. This is still in preliminary stages.

Here is a section of my notes so far. Not asking you to read 100 pages for a change.

    TREATMENT:

Starscream, still tumbling through space after the events of “Starscream’s Ghost” as an unconscious Transformer. He crashes on Earth, awakens, but is immediately set upon by GB Blackrock’s men but he is able to get away. He is shot down over a beach where Shockwave finds him and takes him to the Decepticon Island he has built in secret on Earth.

Meanwhile, on Cybertron, the Autobots have a funeral for Optimus Prime, finally launching his stasis lock body into space. This leads to the council reconvening to discuss the future of Cybertron, which has become a hub for interstellar immigration since it’s Rebirth. While the council argues over implementing Democracy on Cybertron, creating the potential for a non-Cybertronian leader. Prowl, however, wishes to take a cadre of Autobots to the planet Earth to hunt down some Decepticons suspected of hiding out there. He ends up taking [himself - PROWL], JAZZ, IRONHIDE, JETFIRE, MIRAGE, WHEELJACK, BRAWN, BLUESTREAK, SIDESWIPE, SUNSTREAKER, and GRIMLOCK.

On Earth, things have changed dramatically. Since the Autobots left in 2010, following the events of the rebirth, a strong anti-Transformers sentiment has developed on Earth. GB Blackrock has gutted the remains of the ARK to create a company based on Cybertronian tech (GB Blackrock’s family owned the land on which the ARK had crashed so many millions of years ago). The AUTOBOTS, being so far away now, on CYBERTRON, are only casually aware of how much it has changed. Upon arrival they are shot down - crashing over the west coast. They escape, re-uniting at the site of the ARK, where they find it stripped except the protected main deck.

Prowl is able to get inside. Using the ARK’s computers they find out about the Combaticons overseas, while Jetfire tries to get extract back to Cybertron (they are unable to). In the meantime Prowl suggests they return to their mission and they set out to hunt down the Combaticons. They find them exacerbating a human conflict, and under the control of an unknown (to them) GB Blackrock, who has enslaved a wide variety of Decepticons. GB Blackrock throws the Prime Minister of Janna (Israel) under the bus as he was outed for his role arming the conflict.

One of the soldiers killed/maimed in the conflict is conscripted into Blackrock’s Pretender tech test run, fusing a human with a “pretender shell” making a hybrid of organic and tech based - creating techno-organic hybrids monsters. One of these monsters is beset upon the returning Autobots inside a small Oregon town - with the attacking killing Mirage. Prowl ultimately kills the Pretender Monster by burning away the organic parts with a blast from his acid pellet gun. When they return to the ARK they find GB Blackrock there with many Cybertronian military vehicles to take in the AUTOBOTS, however they recant when it is revealed that PREDAKING has emerged in AFRICA and has begun attacking populated areas. GB Blackrock is overruled by the military/government when Prowl explains they are there to get rid of these Decepticons, and are free to go pursue PREDAKING.

In the battle with PREDAKING, SIDESWIPE is killed breaking PREDAKING into his component parts. They explain they were found by Blackrock and were acting defensively, expressing the desire to live in the jungle among the animals alone and untouched. As a result, Prowl, despite not wanting to and the AUTOBOTS let them walk back into the jungle after the Predacons reject Jetfire’s bid for them to join.

The AUTOBOTS find a nearby AFRICAN town - the people there are unmoved by their appearance - and the AUTOBOTS find they can exist unbothered here.

    • Sunstreaker addresses the death of his brother here with a human elder living in the town.

Randomly, in Miami, following protests, the Constructicons find their control devices mysteriously deactivated. This causes them to merge to form Devestator. The Autobots, finding out about this, are urged by PROWL to continue their mission even in the fake of their failures, because it is what OPTIMUS PRIME would have done. Feeling him coming into his own as a leader, the AUTOBOTS follow him.

The battle against Devestator is anti-climatic. Prowl mercilessly kills Scavenger after they successfully break them apart without any casualties. Scrapper explains the devices that once made them slaves had glitched out, and they were escaping the human mob surrounding them. Prowl leaves (after secretly places a tracing device on Scrapper) the AUTOBOTS, now disillusioned with their fight. The AUTOBOTS feel betrayed since it appears Prowl engaged in this mission only to kill the Transformer who had once killed him. After GB Blackrock’s forces descend on Miami the AUTOBOTS head north to the ARTIC (presumably to return to Cybertron). As Prowl follows the tracking device Decepticons under the control of Blackrock are all freed from their devices including the STUNTICONS and recaptured COMBATICONS - as well as a few others (RUNAMUCK and RUNABOUT, DIRGE, RAMJET, and THRUST).

When PROWL follows the device he finds SHOCKWAVE alone at the remains of the space bridge - which he just used to transport the Constructicons [to the island]. Shockwave gives the speech about who the real enemy is here. Prowl lets Shockwave go.

GB Blackrock is blamed for the Devestator incident, and GB Blackrock is ousted from his own company.

Upon rendezvousing with the AUTOBOTS in the ARTIC he finds that instead of a ride back, they have sent reinforcements.

    PRELIMINARY EPISODE GUIDE/LIST

    • EPISODES 1-3: “Earth Force” Amidst rising political tensions on the Autobots home world of Cybertron, Prowl takes the original Autobots back to deal with the fleeting remnants of the Decepticon army on Earth only to find the world has changed in his absence.
      • Deaths: Sideswipe, Mirage, Scavenger
      • Returns: MEGATRON, unconscious
        • GB Blackrock, after an accident with Devestator is removed from being head of his company.
    • Episode 4: “Shockwave kills Ultra Magnus” (Working Title - probably "SHOCKWAVE'S REVENGE" which is another name I use for the 3 episode "pilot") After Ultra Magnus returns to Earth to relieve Prowl of command, Shockwave stages his first major assault of a Blackrock Oil Refinery at sea, leading to the death of Ultra Magnus and the birth of Circuit Breaker
      • Deaths: Ultra Magnus
      • Returns: Spike and Daniel Witwicky (epilogue episode)
        • Other notes: Episode begins an arc where the now disgraced and dismissed GB Blackrock invests in an science lab studying three humans imbued with powers having been exposed as children (as fetus/in womb) to Cybertron radiation of Earth. Includes THUNDERPUNCH (super strength like a low grade Hulk), RAPTURE (Telepathy, Telekinesis), and FLARE (a female fire being). GB Blackrock, now removed from his job as weapons manufacturer of Cybertronian tech fully embraces “the human element”.
    • Episode 5: “Trypticon Strikes” The rudderless Autobots are in shambles, and Grimlock retreats with the Dinobots for a showdown with Trypticon which shows he may be the most worthy of all.
      • Deaths: Trypticon
        • Major changes: Grimlock becomes permanent Earth leader of the Autobots. With Ultra Magnus returning to Earth at the end of episode 3 - this makes the Autobot Earth forces: (G1 teams of) PROTECTOBOTS, AERIALBOTS, DINOBOTS, All G1 series 1 and 2 car characters (minus Mirage and Sideswipe following their deaths, and PROWL who went AWOL after Magnus arrives), Blaster, Preceptor, and OMEGA SUPREME.
    • Episode 6: “PROWL STORY”: Prowl story as Prowl hunts down Daniel Witwicky following his father succumbing to cancer (caused by Cybertronian radiation). Prowl knows Daniel is in possession of Fortress Maximus. The Decepticons (Runamuck and Runabout) come looking for Daniel and eventually Shockwave looking to take possession of the Maximus transtector (body) forcing Fortress Maximus (Daniel) to enter the fight.
      • Episode 7-8: “SHOWDOWN” - Gridlock’s rule has become tyrannical (he attacks humans for fuel - not harming anyone though and is repelled by the NEO KNIGHTS, as well as an intervention of Circuit Breaker (deciding the battle against the Dinobots), leading to Cybertron sending the original HEADMASTERS (HIGHBROW, CHROMEDOME, BRAINSTORM, HARDHEAD) as well as the TECHNOBOTS to Earth to retrieve Maximus’ (body) and put an end to the tyrannical rule of Grimlock who is overwhelmed both by his newfound cunning (upgraded intelligence before the show begins) and leadership position. He lashes out. Fortress Maximus reluctantly joins and agrees to fight Grimlock on the moon. Instead Prowl incapacitates Maximus and takes his place - who is no match for Grimlock and will surely lose. Until Shockwave’s combined forces, with a zombie animated Scavenger sneak attack the AUTOBOTS pining them down on the moon’s surface.
      • Results of the battle involve Prowl, Ironhide, and Jazz sending Shockwave hurtling back to Earth and presumably burning up.
        • Fortress Maximus joins the battle after coming to. While not as large as the original (being slightly larger than Jetfire - this one also known more as FortMax, connoting the Jr. status) his re-entry is decisive in turning the tide of battle.
      • As the Decepticons lose and are scattered again with no leader.
        • Fortress Maximus becomes the leader for season 2 of the combined Earth Autobots.
          • The weakened Autobot Force on Cybertron starts to wane in public pressure (next season and non-Cybertronian is elected leader).
          • The Decepticons - Starscream makes contact with Scorponok in space.
          • In most versions of the first three episodes there is a scene, early on, which shows Galvatron being thrown into a black hole (by way of a planet being consumed) by Scorponok - that will probably be at the start of this two episode arc. Scorponok has, as well, cloned his body using Spike's human DNA and operates a SCORPONOK JR (similar size to FORTMAX). The ship the Decepticons use is Scorponok's old body, now black from space travel (BLACK ZARACK)

    I should note some things.

Rodimus Prime is still around. Optimus is sent into space with the Matrix, and RODIMUS PRIME is President of the AUTOBOT council (who ultimately takes the role of GUARDIAN when the ALIEN president - haven't decided who that is, or whether they will be mechanical. Could have some fun there. Maybe Leader-1 or that a different Gobot. The Top Hat robot could be funny). Rodimus Prime would have a movie between. Every season gets a stand alone movie. In RODIMUS PRIME's movie he hunts down Galvatron with Lockdown, and ends up disrupting the time stream as a result, pulling a triumphant and a headless Unicron out of their dimension and into his. The movie would erase Rodimus Prime from the time stream, meaning, in some roundabout way the events of the movie never happened and the memory is erased.

The only importance of this is Unicron and Galvatron returning, and also Galvatron existing alongside Megatron in the second season - neglected to mention above but Galvatron going through the black hole makes Megatron pop back into the Universe via a white hole. I use a lot of 80s sci-fi reasoning in my plotting this out.

Daniel is fusing to Maximus basically. He looks human on the outside but internally is becoming cybernetic. Maximus is a constant voice in his head. He promises him he will die a human. The other Headmasters have become fully cybernetic, fusing to their headmasters, effectively now titan masters.

The second season involves Ginrai, a young Asian refugee (from Transformer attacks) with an old truck reminiscent of Optimus Prime who has dreams of Cybertronian wars, and many other humans who bond with Transformers similar to him: Minerva, Siren, Hosehead, Getaway, Joy Ride, Slapdash, Cloudburst, Landmine, and Waverider (love to put METALHAWK in there as well). SEACONS have been with SCORPONOK already. Scorponok would come to Earth this season. Prowl, Jazz, Fortress Maximus (Daniel) and Ironhide find the human Transformers. The Matrix Quest would also be going on in space this season - I think - as noted Optimus original body is launched into space. It is found and is missing. Nightbeat would work with BACKSTREET and VICTORION that season - with Thunderwing and the Mayhem Attack Squad as the villains. It would end with Unicron attacking Cybertron and Ginrai sacrificing himself and proving worthy of the Matrix. Many - most characters are killed. It would be easier to write who remains.

PROWL, FORTRESS MAXIMUS (EARTH), GALVATRON (EARTH - never made it to Cybertron), SHOCKWAVE, STARSCREAM, MEGATRON, SOUNDWAVE, BLUDGEON, STRANGLEHOLD, OCTOPUNCH, FANGRY, SQUEEZEPLAY, HORRI-BUL, WINDBLADE (new character that season), VICTORION (5x), SILVERBOLT, SKIDS, WHEELJACK, IRONHIDE, RATCHET, SUNSTREAKER, TRACKS, GOLDBUG, NIGHTBEAT, SIREN, MINERVA, HOSEHEAD, INFERNO, PERCEPTOR, BLASTER, JAZZ, RUNAMUCK and RUNABOUT, DARKWING and DREADWIND, QUAKE, NEEDLENOSE, SPINISTER, MONSTRUCTOR, GRIMLOCK, Ginrai (human), and a whole bunch of micromasters

The beginning of the Unicron episode is a battle between Galvatron, Megatron, Shockwave, and Scorponok in Los Angeles. It results in so much destruction they nuke the city - Scorponok dies. Megatron barely survives, Shockwave survives and retrieves Megatron's body with Starscream.

The second movie I think here would be Last Stand of the Wreckers and it would end in their deaths except Whirl and Roadster (Springer, Impactor, Rack n' Ruin, Top Spin, and Twin Twist) at the hands of Overlord and the Breastforce (Destrons) - all killed.

The third season would focus around a war primarily fought by their Micromasters as fuel becomes a premium on their dying world. The micromasters would eventually unite and leave the planet - with Ginrai, who they appoint their leader - eventually they would return with Star Convoy in the final act. The battle with Grimlock's led Autobots on Klo. Like I said - very much adapting the story of the comic - with some hitches in it to the original cartoon.

The third movie would be BEAST WARS RISING - yet another script I have been trying to write, which I think is about ready to go as well. It uses, of all characters, Tyrannicon Rex (s) and perhaps Buzzworthy Dinobot (s) as a clone army employed by Magnaboss. His one clone with a mind of its own, GRIMLOCK. It would also use MAGNABOSS (Prowl, Ironhide, Silverbolt - yes the original characters) as well as Lio Convoy, and most likely a collection of unused (in US) characters like Polarclaw, Longrack, Wolffang, Tasmanian Kid - something akin to The Pack on a LIFE AFTER PEOPLE Earth.

If there was a basic premise to this show it's humans blame Transformers for their own problems.

Also following the Rebirth Transformers find out their lifespans have been reduced to only a few hundred years due to the Rebirth somehow. This is partly why Optimus dies, but still he is mysteriously the first Transformer "natural" death.

The end-end of the main show will involve “action master Ginrai” piloting the Star Convoy to fight the Decepticons and then taking the surviving Autobots, now Gods no longer able to transform - Prowl, Jazz, Bumblebee, Blaster, Tracks, Sideswipe “resurrected”, as well as other action masters. Even some Decepticons such as Starscream, a resurrected Megatron, Soundwave, and Shockwave (Thundercracker and Skywarp and the og villains) join as well. Giving up their transforming powers, returning the micromasters to a restored Cybertron and disappearing into the stars.

What follows between this and the next show

    • The (A) Quintesson enslaves the micromasters and uses them for gladiatorial combat.
    • Star Saber, Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, Big Powered, ancient Cybertronians, return and repel the Quintessons
    • This leads to a war with Deathsaurus, The Dino-Force and a series of resurrected Decepticon Generals. With the aid of a returning fused Daniel Fortress Maximus, now as big as the G1 cartoon original - they repel the generals. Daniel gives back his robot body and therefore his life to Cybertron creating the Maximals and a post war neoliberal “utopia”.
    • The final movie is set right around this point.

A basic overview and logline for the final film - new show.

200 years in the future a trouble making soldier, Lio Convoy, is demoted to transport on a long interstellar mission, however after an encounter with a living amnesiac ghost named Grimlock he finds himself encountering an ancient enemy on Earth.

Lio Convoy and his crew, The Pack, intercept Grimlock. On Earth them are decimated fighting the Tripredacus. They are eventually (third act) rescued by Magmatron who fakes killing Tripredacus. They are taken in and then hunted for sport by Magmatron and his Predacon clone army made of Buzzworthy Dinoboy and Tyrannacon Rex as the clones. Grimlock was the origin clone made from Grimlock’s spark, who escaped. Ends with them killing Magmatron.

The sort of post credit show teaser there would be revealing Tarantulus, Cryotech, Ravage, and their leader, an aged G1 Razorclaw the first Predacon factions forming on earth. They have yet another clone with his own unique spark of the Tyrannacon Rex’s - Gnashtooth aka BW MEGATRON they complete in the sequence.

TREATMENT OF PILOT DRAFT 2 (longer)

    EXT. EARTH SKY/EARTH OREGON/SMALL TOWN - NIGHT

Starscream tumbles from space. His body is unconscious as it falls from the sky. He craters into a small town somewhere in OREGON, not especially far from the Autobot volcano. He is met by a Military task force using Cybertronian vehicles/mechs/jets and realizes they are outfitted with Cybertronian tech. So he runs. The jets catch up with him and shoot him down. He is then found by Shockwave on the beach where he crashes. Shockwave takes him to Decepticon Island (remote)

    EXT./INT. CYBERTRON (IACON) - DAY

Cybertron is now far away, revolving around its own suns in a different solar system. Optimus Prime has a funeral. Shot into space by OMEGA SUPREME. Many Autobot cameos in here worth noting. PROWL, JAZZ, IRONHIDE introduced here. MIRAGE, SIDESWIPE, SUNSTREAKER, BLUESTREAK, WHEELJACK, HOUND, and JETFIRE as well as cameos. Prowl back in front of the council defends taking Autobots to Earth to fight the Decepticons remaining there. Ultra Magnus, against the will of the council grants the trip.

They leave under the leadership of Prowl with Jazz still acting as lieutenant.

On the way over/before - debriefing scene - think James Cameron’s Aliens reviewing how the humans have changed and the Earth has become anti-Cybertron.

    INT./EXT. EARTH LOCATIONS - MONTAGE

This Montage would be to set up EARTH and the current state of things.

Introduction of JB Blackrock. We find out through protests that the CONSTUCTICONS are enslaved by a hypnochips modified to work on Transformers by Blackrock, are taking human jobs. Show the Combaticons being used in the Middle East to oppress a country via a more powerful country (backed by the west and armed by Blackrock). And finally JB Blackrock using Breakdown as cruising vehicle.

He arrives and he takes a call from the President where he assuages her concern about his secret use of Cybertronian labor.

INT. AUTOBOT SHIP/EXT. EARTH - SPACE

The Autobots ship enters and they are shot down, Ironhide saves Prowl, Sideswipe saves Sunstreaker, and then Jetfire saves the rest.

    EXT. EARTH OREGON - DAY

They find the AUTOBOT volcano and find the ARK underneath, stripped, with only the core main deck remaining (it’s impenetrable). They are able to enter. They are shielded inside. They activate TELETRAAN-1 and they very soon find out about the CONSTRUCTICONS in the Middle East. They decide to go there, following a bad prep talk from Prowl, and Jazz supporting him.

    EXT. MIDDLE EAST - DAY

They end up overseas and end up fighting the Combaticons. They defeat them, but not before they form Bruticus. However when they go to retrieve them, they find human black ops retrieving them

The Autobots go and confront the leader of Janna - the oppressor country stand in - the Prime Minister about the Decepticons in his army. He says the United States supplies him

    They then hunt down.

    EXT. WHITE HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

They hunt down the President who passes the buck onto Blackrock, their main supplier. The President warns Blackrock who dispatches a Pretender. A Human fused (body horror) with a Pretender shell. Something similar to a Power Ranger monster or DEATH’S HEAD II. A techno-organic being that grows to giant sized.

This being hunts down the Autobots in a small OREGON town near the AUTOBOTS base and Sideswipe is killed, promptly the Prowl kung fu acid pellet kill scene. Sunstreaker is hardened by the experience.

    They return to the ARK.

    EXT. ARK VOLCANO - CONTINUOUS

JB Blackrock comes alone. They know he manufactured the Pretender, and Prowl recognizes the car - WILDRIDER - and SUNSTREAKER looks prime to kill him, but Prowl stops them telling him Optimus Prime’s opinion on killing humans (don’t). JB Blackrock reveals his family owned the land out here. Bought it over a hundred years ago (stole it from Indians), and therefore he owns the ARK as well. He shows them the deed. They get in JETFIRE and leave.

They research where Transformers are free, and find areas in AFRICA are legalize their presence, however none are known to live there.

EXT. AFRICAN COUNTRY (leaning towards CONGO area) - NIGHT

Arriving there at night they are able to convince the townspeople they were part of the good Transformers from the 1980s. The people tell them that there are Transformers here and they live in the jungle.

They show Prowl and the AUTOBOTS there power plants that have been destroyed and they say it has caused power and black out issues. Prowl and Jazz realize these are the PREDACONS, and so they enter the Jungle to find them.

They do. They fight. PREDAKING is formed, and they are attacked by NATO forces in CYBERTRONIAN jets, causing them to fall into component parts. The Autobots are going to take advantage of the situation until Razorclaw tells them they have no killed anyone, and have just taken the fuel they need to live and wish to be left alone. The Autobots let them go and then make their own escape.

    MONTAGE JB BLACKROCK/NEWS

The world knows the Transformers are back, and not merely the few Transformer slaves in the hands of a few contractors. Public opinion becomes very split.

    EXT. JETFIRE/INT. JETFIRE

Jetfire is flying the Transformers to the ARTIC to get away from the humans and call for extract.

While inside the news that DEVESTATOR has begun attacking MIAMI (scenes explaining this before hand - hacked by SHOCKWAVE, basically - may do SOUNDWAVE as a constant background item following JB BLACKROCK around).

    Prowl makes them go.

    EXT. MIAMI - DAY

They fight DEVESTATOR, and it goes badly, of course. JB BLACKROCK jams the signal of his own weapons (US military weapons) to halt their intervention so the AUTOBOTS and DEVESTATOR will kill each other while smashing MIAMI

This will be a long fight. Many injuries. In the meanwhile, The AUTOBOTS, specifically with a plan from PROWL are able to topple DEVESTATOR.

He splits apart. In anger, remembering his death on the shuttle Prowl guns down Scavenger in cold oil. Anger. It shocks the other AUTOBOTS. They sense the humans coming and scatter vowing to meet up north. Scavenger, unbeknownst to the Constructicons taking his body has a tracking device in the crater in his head.

Prowl secretly follows the trace instead of meeting up with the Autobots right away.

EXT. BEACH/INT. DECEPTICON ISLAND - NIGHT

Prowl follows the path back - and he finds the entrance on the mainland. Shockwave appears and says there is only a few of them. He gives the “who is your enemy, really?” Speech and Prowl lets him go while receiving a transmission from Jetfire.

    EXT. ARTIC - LATER

PROWL returns and finds JETFIRE had called for extract, but instead they sent back up. DINOBOTS, PROTECTOBOTS, rest of season 1 and 2 cast, AERIALBOTS and OMEGA SUPREME all led by ULTRA MAGNUS arrive.

    POSSIBLE NEW POST CREDIT IDEA

Shockwave reveals a clone body of MEGATRON, hoping not just to unite the DECEPTICONS on EARTH, but the ones in space with SCORPONOK as well.

The thing is I kind of want to write this one, and the last one first, but I really need to understand where Ironhide, Prowl, and Silverbolt end up. The truth is, I would structure this out like Clone wars (26 episode seasons) rather than 8 - but writing 26 is insane to me. Considering this is one script (roughly 80ish pages) and then a bunch of 35ish ones. Maybe a big finale. 26, each 22, I think is a better way to tell this story, but maybe not.

    GINRAI:

Wanted to talk about him and his role in this show - although he is not, to my current plans, going to appear as Prime in the first season. It is my plan to have Ginrai at least show up - even as a post credit, post season teaser. Ginrai will be a human - he will drive a truck that looks like Optimus Prime. He purchases it. He is a refugee (most likely will retain this backstory) and he purchases Optimus Prime after gaining a CDL and a job as a trucker on a work permit. The run down truck from 1982 is all he can afford. He cannot compete against the driverless electric ones and basically lives in poverty (just staying afloat). Ginrai is most likely asexual - I only note this for a few reasons. He will have no girlfriends or boyfriends - unlike Daniel Witwicky whose straightness will at least be referenced. Given Ginrai is like a resurrected Prime, this will be done to stress his isolation from most other people - Prime himself, I suppose, is straight. There is a father (Optimus Prime - Peter Cullen), son/Jesus (Powermaster Prime), and Holy Spirit - Ginrai as an action master controlling the much larger Optimus Prime/Star Convoy transtector. I would like Prowl, possibly some others to meet him at some point.

Not going to happen in the pilot but symbolizes the fallout. It happens after Ultra Magnus is killed by Shockwave.

Writing this makes me want to rewatch the Sopranos - waring families or Game of Thrones. I’m getting that vibe so far.

With Shockwave switching from a secluded cave in earlier drafts to an island I decided Prowl tracing of his tracking device needed to have a more dramatic, action packed infiltration.

Shockwave tells Prowl he is building a ship to get off world. Technically true. A war world to both destroy Earth and retake Cybertron. Details. Details.

This image is more of a prequel to the pilot. Daniel Witwicky inherited a sized down Fortress Maximus from his father, Spike. He acted as an Earthbound superhero and helped round up the Decepticons in Blackrock’s eventual control. His dissillusionment with being used by Blackrock, plus his father, Spike, succumbing to Cybertronian radiation led to him abandoned Fort Max by storing him within the Ark.

Following Prowl leaving Shockwave after Shockwave gives his “who is your enemy, really?” speech it is revealed Shockwave’s forces are not small anymore having united the dispersed Decepticons.

This is somewhat exciting. A first draft of the pilot - it is labelled Episode 1 Season 1. It could be done as one. It could be done as two. I have some desire to do some spotlight episodes since I have such a massive cast going forward. Or maybe even split anthology episodes. We'll see.

There is something I should explain about the pilot since I did sort of pull a fast one. The level of tech earth has available to them in this is waaaayyy closer to actual 2030 tech will probably be than what season 3 showed. This is a choice I made that ignores a lot of the cartoon. Could I give some convoluted explanation about the Transformers leaving with their tech - sure. I just felt like the Jetson’s aesthetic to be a bit dated, ironically, and just not something found in even futurist sci-fi in the modern era. So IMO that just wouldn’t translate now, but I understand it’s a plot hole.

I also might ditch Huffer and Gears from the script. They add nothing I don’t feel the other two deaths accomplish anything. I re-evaluate this on reread. I also think it makes it too bleak, too fast. I had wanted them to kind of blow by death wise because the movie (1986) did something similar and I just feel like a lot of people criticized that in retrospect. While I still shill for that movie and insist it works it just doesn’t here and almost seems to vindicate those that dislike that aspect of the OG.

The deaths are there to heighten danger, which fine, but the ship being destroyed already feels dangerous.

Probably taking out the retrieve the Ark misdirect.

I made some updates. Probably not enough to repost the script...yet. Got rid of the Chromedome scene. Just too derivative of Blade Runner, and all exposition. Needed an action scene for Prowl, added one. Very X-Men danger room - but obvious excuse for a fight sequence early on. It think that's important. The beginning is exposition heavy. That really needs to get cut down. There's sort of this democracy of talk for some of these scenes needs to be cut down. I'm a less is more guy for dialogue.

Now Gears and Huffer are written out, and alive. Which I'm sure for them is preferable. It also bothered me a bit, that aside from Mirage on a technicality, everyone I killed off in here was not killed in the '86 movie. That felt wrong. Like I was reversing it. At least now it's three, but Mirage was slated to die in 86, so really it's two and there is no correlation there.

This thread is a bit like an experiment. So consider this script 25% done, maybe. Still early in the process. That's part of the point here is to deposit my notes and show - the process. These are, so far, the barest of notes.

I’m going back and forth on the Earth military having drone vehicons instead of just drones. I actually love the idea of them being Leader-1 (inspired).

Okay, weirdly, I wrote a second episode I had not planned. It was basically like a story between things I already had basically mapped out. Maybe changed a few beats, but otherwise the same. Part of it was, with the way series are now, episodes are slightly longer, second episode kind of gives you the freedom to go apeshit and put a ton of irons in the fire.

No pictures to go along with this one - yet...like I said. Not planned.

I should preface it. Megatron is in it. So that’s cool. Micromasters are in it. Lore dumping is in it.
