Completely unrelated, but for some reason I keep imagining IDW Soundwave as a Disney princess because he's got animal sidekicks and he ♪ wants much more than this provincial life ♪

It's stupid, but it just makes me laugh.

By the way, I had to stop myself so many times from making jokes about how Raksha apparently didn't see anything evil about natives getting enslaved and having their land plundered by invaders.

I have thought of this exact same thing before.
Soundwave has almost all the qualifications to be one. Strange powers, talking animal friends, I imagine he sings well being a musically themed character, all he's missing is an evil person trying to sabotage his commune.

Well, I've never imagined Soundwave like that before, but now I can't stop O__O. Feeling the serious need right now to draw him Disney style, singing to Laserbeak....

I have no way to smoothly integrate this into the thread, but I'm probably never gonna get another opportunity to use this image again without it coming out of nowhere.

    Wb7Ahl0 transformers funny i don't even know the context.jpg

I found this picture completely at random and to this day, I still don't know the context to the joke behind it.

The Botcon version was the first, and even her name is a reference to forum flamewars. :)  So yes, that IS where the character comes from.

She had a website where she described her reasons, and also I recall she had a page dedicated to mocking all other Con leaders from comic and cartoon because only cartoon Megatron was awesome. Yes, she really hated BW megs.
Can't find the site anymore - it was called Plumed Serpent - but here is a 2015 discussion on kiwifarm, I guess she waa still active then?
Raksha / PlumedSerpent / Jovanka Kink

Edit: seems someone archived her site. Oh this brings back memories!
    Raksha's Page
True, that whole "Soundwave actually is a gentle pacifist" retcon felt right up her alley. But she would have gotten a stroke when Megatron became an autobot.

Antagony was inspired by her too? I never knew that!
I was lucky to get the toy for 45$ in a joint deal with a friend getting the other botcon figures. I assume sshe is worth more today? Well at least there is a.legion version too.

Btw, this girl (Highfire I think?) looks a lot like the Energon Aerialbot limb mold (Treadshot/whatever, basically Air Raid and Fireflight by different names)

Yeah, I've been taking a look at some of her essays and hoooo boy. Look, I don't want to start talking bad about people, but she's not kidding when she says she's honestly in synch with the Decepticons beliefs. I mean, she thinks that the Decepticons enslaving humans is "fair use" because humanity sided against the Decepticons by allying with the Autobots. She also considers treason to be the worst crime of all, and that's not an exaggeration. She lists rape, patricide, mass murder as examples of bad crimes and then says that to her, treason is still worse.

By the way, she still exonerates Starscream's treachery by claiming that he only ever betrayed Megatron while Skyfire (whom she really hates) betrayed the Decepticons as a whole by defecting. She doesn't seem to understand that treason is not confined to defection and desertion, and actually has multiple situations in which it can be applied. One of those situations is when you betray the person you've sworn allegiance to. You know, like how Starscream has sworn allegiance to Megatron. Oops.

Her critical assessments aren't much better. It looks good on the surface but once you scratch the surface and dig into the arguments, most of them all apart really quickly. For example, she insists that Transformers are too complex to be reprogrammed like they are in "The Secret of Omega Supreme", but she lists absolutely no examples to support her claim, nor does she address the many episodes that show Transformers being easily reprogrammed.

And I can utterly destroy pretty much the entire Megatron side of her Nightbird essay with a single sentence because she overlooked (or ignored) the fact that Megatron reprogrammed Nightbird.

Credit where credit is due, she has a few valid points like some of the things she criticizes about "The Search for Alpha Trion", but they are far and in-between.

I'm tempted to do a thread where I discuss and refute her essays, because I think it'd be worth it. I also don't think it'd be breaking the forum rules because she put those up to be taken serious, so I don't see how me doing a thread on them would be any different than doing a thread about an interview or an article about the Transformers so long as I don't start with personal insults.

I can see how she earned her infamy.

Oh man, her reaction would have been a-mazing.

I think Decepticons could be likened to farmers. Not evil farmers, just regular every day farmers.

Energon is their crop, humans their livestock and tools, Earth their land. Sure they kill, but farmers also kill. They destroy homes, but so do farmers when clearing new land. They are larger than us and more sophisticated, so we are the animals to them.

With the addition of a not entirely serious "All farmers are evil farmers", I dig it.
