You wanted action? You got it!
The main focus on the story is the fight between the Autobots and Decepticons...and unfortunately, a research team is caught in the middle of it.

A lot of great moments happen in this issue. Here are some of the highlights:

A very fun issue, which is giving us a peak of the war.

So they have the watch-bot. Cool?
And Frenzy transforms into a cassette only to transform back to robot mode. Cool?
I dunno. The art isn’t great but it’s leaps better then what we’ve had all along.
    I guess.

It's called trying to not get crushed by a tank.
Fun issue, definitely the most action in a single issue we've gotten, and excited to see what happens next with a Titan-sized bot helping the Neutrals and fighting now breaking out

But the series has had action every edition since number 10. And some of the editions were also full of action scenes.

This issue was a lot of fun! Both Geomotus's team and this Riser unit were neat and a blast in terms of dialogue and personality. Going back to the beginning of the issue though, it feels like a long time since we last saw Orion yet its only been a few issues? And I think that's because so far he hasn't taken much direct action but instead has been moving Bumblebee around as a very, very powerful piece on this gameboard. He practically has proof that the Rise and the Ascenticon's are in cahoots.
The part with Nautica and Pointblank felt a bit random but it might be important next issue I guess. And as always, because I'm biased, it's fun to see Sixshot. It's about time he gets to do something again, hopefully it isn't cut short.

a little disappointed that Rage was the bot with the cons. based on just the cover reveals, i thought he was tarantuals and got psyched.

Very fun issue. The only thing that could be better about it, is art. Both rescue and runaway party were very fun to read, with Rage and Triggerhappy being best. Also, lol'ed hard at the inclusion of watch bot, as a regular guy. Liked how Frenzy transformed in panic to save himself from charging Quake, who could not give any less crap :D . And it worked! Can't wait to see Leviathan whoop their asses next issue. :)

But yeah, that Pointblank/Nautica scene was kinda random. Made me look twice, to see if I didn't miss a page.

The art in this issue was pretty lackluster overall. Anna Malkova is sorely missed here.

I think Billie Montfort is a good artist. Your art could be better if had a better colorist. Here are some of your arts:[IMG]

The scenes that weren't out in the "Leviathan Rescue" scene had an *AAAAAALMOST* Mobius vibe to them, and it would be cool to see a full series in that art style. But here they seemed out of place with the cartoony-er battle scenes.

Story was ok. Glowy Megatron Propaganda Broadcast was neat. Landmine was hard to place at first, and I had an "oh yeaaah, him!" moment. Watch-Guy's inclusion is very welcome, re-issue/update, please! :)

"Say my name, say my name, say my name....."

    LOL

This issue is fun. Things are going to devolve quickly.

Anyway, I say they are going to devolve because the Cybertronians who seemed to get mixed up in the 'con's movement are ones like Fangry, Triggerhappy, and Quake. If you want a political movement to be legitimate, I would think you'd want the more stable people on your side for appearances' sake. You WANT the scientists, teachers, religious leaders, etc.

However, if you are trying to violently overthrow the status quo... these malcontents are just the ones for the job.

While I think it’s one of the weaker issues, I still enjoyed it. Some solid action and an intriguing final panel.

The artwork is sometimes ugly and simplistic, barely passable at best. But not the worst interior art from IDW. That still belongs to Heart of Darkness. Good lord, that was seriously fugly.

Keep in mind that the Rise is intentionally a violent, disruptive group. Megatron was using them to simultaneously demonstrate that the unrest towards Autobot conservationism was growing violent, while also demonstrating that the Autobots are incapable of keeping people safe from that growing unrest.

By doing this through the Rise, he keeps the Ascenticons hands clean to the public, ready to present themselves as the solution to the brewing Autobot/Rise conflict.
