Well that's different. Looks kinda bulky though with car parts that chunky he'd probably be smaller.

Model T would've been a neat counter to Ransack. Who's the female supposed to be? Quintessa? Steeljaw looks like the doors become an apron which is very different.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the one we ended up with, but I really like this one.

I kinda hope we get to see this design used somewhere, or at the least get a toy of it somewhere in the future.

I quite like that Bumblebee concept.
If that was what we got fifteen years ago then i think he would've gone down much better.

As someone who has criticized the Bayverse's overuse of the Bumper/Hood Chest transformation scheme, It disappoints me that this wasn't the design they chose to use.
I agree, looking at the proportions that Bumblebee would probably have been shorter with this design, but that would've been better, G1 Bumblebee was short. It makes me wonder how the later Bumblebee designs would've been if they'd started with this design, particularly the Beetle design from Bumblebee.

To me the 2018 film found the best level of complexity for the designs. This is still a bit too blocky, and I don't think it would have translated to the screen well. There are a few aspects of this design I wish they kept, like the roof for the chest and the headlights on the shoulders. The upper half looks fine, but I think the legs, feet, and forearms need a bit more detail.

Definitely better than what we got, but then almost anything would be.

I never got why "blocky" aka large flat surfaces = wouldn't translate well in live action. Of course they're going to add circuitry and other tidbits to modernize old designs, and the Sonic movie and MCW already proved that false.

Growing up with the Bayverse I like the head he had in the movie. But I do really like this headsculpt (a bit more).

We've already seen a lot of them, some as early as 2007, with the BotCon 2007 Hasbro Tour. It's just that not everyone has seen them, and/or some people have such a bad memory, you can show them the same "never-seen-before early design" a dozen times and each time they react with awe and surprise, and then move on to forget about it all over again.

I kinda love this? I don’t think it’s better than what we got, but it’s a neat Bee design. Also props for having the car seats visible on his legs!

Thank you! I knew that back in the day Hasbro was cranking out as many TF action figures as they could to help capitalize on the success of the film, and that this design likely made it in somewhere. Looks like you've proven me right (in my mind if nothing else)!

hell, in tf's case the blocky flat surfaces are CAR panels. it's an argument that requires suspending your knowledge of cars being real lol

Because some guy named Bay said so. They proved it false a year after the 07 movie was released, with Ironman.

Very cool. Somewhat reminiscent of this as well. I guess this one’s the halfway point between the early one and the final design we saw in the movie.

Both of these feel like they ended up being the inspiration for Generations Bumblebee and Jhiaxus.

Neat! This kind of made it into the pre-release movie figures, didn't it?
