I still think the price is a bit high, but I think what they did with the armor is worth it. This makes Magnus look great.

As its been said, they will most likely be releasing the full trailer later. And who knows, those of us buying just the armor may go to funding the full trailer set and make it cheaper for you guys.

 

Yep. Here's hoping they drop the older trailer concept and make this "armor" only section into the new, more compact, trailer.

 

I am definitely in for the armor. I bought that foc magnus just for this. Now the trailer I would like to have but it just depends on down the road what happens with it and what else has my money at that time. All the complaints but for a new company, at least they are listening to fans and customers and trying to make the best out of their situation and for that I give them props.

 

75 or 90 I'm gonna say that for a few bits of armor... it's a bit on the pricey side. Also, I'd have to say that they should've at least redone the trailer. I mean really, the fact that the trailer has no bearing on the figure, not even as a weapon or base mode... is what makes that an oversized hunk of worthless plastic. (Yes, I know it has a base mode... but for Legends? Cmon.)

 

To be fair, most base modes look a lot less like bases when you have them with larger figures. More like battle stations.

 

With a September release, don't count on it. The design won't change.

 

i would love this set, but at a price that i could almost buy an actual transforming 3rd party voyager? what the hell? i can't get in on that with all the other stuff coming out.

 

Yeah, I just bought MP Soundwave for about $127 total. After that, I'm afraid that no matter how much I like it, this is too expensive to get just to upgrade FoC UM.

 

Yep, I didn't expect it with their "track" record, but was wishful thinking. I'd hope they delayed the project a tad more just to crack at a redesign, but again ... wishful thinking.

 

No trailer? I'm out.

They should have just lowered the price.

I look at it this way.

There are many of us that will buy just the armor even though it is overpriced and this will help fund the trailer release.

The question is, when they decide to release the trailer, will it be just the trailer or trailer and armor?

And if it is just the trailer, does that mean that all those that wanted both will be out of luck because they passed on the armor?

 

If they release only the trailer without the armor later, the armor will be easy to find because there's no way the armor will sell out. If they move 50 units, it will be quite a feat.

 

Then it's a win win situation.

I'm trying to be optimistic here. This is a new company, trying to get off the ground. I want to support them because they obviously have great engineering talent.

I'm hoping that those of us that just want to upgrade bot mode can support those of you who want the trailer by purchasing this.

 

This has probably been said before but I don't understand why this is being made and not an upgrade kit for FOC Bruticus. I don't mean to bash this kit. It does look great and I'm sure it will find some love but in my own opinion I feel like more people would be willing to buy a Bruticus kit. Then again I might now anything, I haven't bought any of the WFC or FOC toys yet

And, to be honest, we are due for a new 3rd Party Ultra Magnus.

City Commander is going for quite a hefty price on the aftermarket, and with the engineering of today, we could get one that's sooo much better.
