I have one. But I don't think its going to work, Fansproject made it Cad exact to click on the voyager classics mold.

Honestly I don't feel a need to upgrade deluxe magnus. I just raise his smokestacks and form the huge sword.

Perhaps the appeal of the kit is to give it a trailer or make it more game accurate. But I'm cool with this he's like some alternate universe anime Ultra Magnus action hero.

 

I've played FoC several times now. I do not recall neither Prime nor Magnus sporting any form of trailer, let alone Magnus making even a cameo in the game. However, this kit does appear to bring much inspired love towards the figs. I may have to pick those two figs up now. Lord knows both Target and Toys'R'Us are flooded with both of them, at least in my area.

DS War for Cybertron and any version of Fall of Cybertron were two different beasts. Not knocking it, just pointing out UM's lack of appearance in FoC series (at least in the campaign), and the lack of any trailer for Prime in either WfC or FoC, even DS version didn't have one.

Nonetheless, it does look like it will be a desired add on. Here's hoping he final version of the product's release lives up to the hype.

 

I like this set, it takes a rather poor toy and gives a great Ultra Magnus look were it was missing in the past. Question is how much does it cost and what it will look like in colour. Once that is answered I can then decide if it will complete with the other 35rd Party stuff out there I'm already planning on buying and have pre-ordered.

Glad to see this project is still alive. Some of the proportions do look a little off (arms too short and head is too wide) but overall it looks good. Can't wait to see a painted prototype and size comparisons.

Even if it and Optimus don't look like their video game counterparts, something I like it when someone makes something new and cool. I mean Optimus Prime never look like the Battle Tanker toy either. It's just something neat to add to your toys.

Ah good, they're still working on this project. It's been quite a while since their last update and I was afraid they might have stopped production.

 

No, I think Omegatron is saying "I missed out on the last 3p addon for an Ultra Magnus figure... so I definitely am interested in another version for a figure currently available."

The City Commander set definitely won't fit on the FoC Ultra Magnus figure.

Although, if you have the Classics/Henkei Ultra Magnus figure, Acestoystore has the Fansproject set in stock.

Yup, that's exactly what I meant...sorry for any confusion. I don't have a classics/henkei ultra magnus, and the current prices, along with the cost of the city commander upgrade kit (restock on aces), it's more than I'd like to spend. However, I'm excited to see how this turns out and hopefully it won't be too expensive.

 

Cool update, I am interested to see which 3rd Party item gets finished/released first (as well as what the price point will be) -- and this would be a def. buy.

I really like the way the smokestacks poke out. As well as the lower legs as the thighs. Very unique and clever, using the toys design elements and proportions. I would very much like to see the head they do for Magnus.

 

I want this shit hard.

I'm not sure on this. On the plus side it will make Magnus as big as he's supposed to be. On the other hand I rather like FoC Magnus and I'm not a fan of parts forming / trailers.
