Yeah he was teased along with the IDW Bomber megs. Which one gets made first though no-one knows.

 

Damn, that reveal's from a while back. That Magnus looks pretty different from this one, curious to see how it will turn out.

 

Toyworld takes a while to get stuff out, but they're all awesome.

Recently put together Transformazing FOC Ultra Magnus armor upgrade set. Pretty good for the most part but some of the design elements bugged me, particularly the replacement waist piece and how squat the overall torso appeared in comparison to how long the legs were. So I kitbashed a new waist for him while raising his torso a bit so it's slightly longer/taller, replaced his shoulder rockets (his stock shoulder weapons can now be held as twin pistols instead), added some paint apps here and there (particularly the eyes and face), put his old foot pieces on his forearms to beef up his relatively thin arms, and gave him some new weapons (the iGear City Commander upgrade set which included the shoulder missiles) since I simply don't care for the Transformazing weapons themselves (the rifle axe thing is just meh to me). May paint his thighs white eventually. Now I'm pretty happy with his overall proportions.

 

So I have had this guy for a while and I have kept him boxed up due to space.

But I got him back out the other day and plan to keep him out this time. But I can't seem to fit the crotch piece onto him every time I go to the two bottom clips just pop out.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there something wrong with the crotch piece? Should the bottom wait clips be glued in?

 

I glued mine in. I also thickened the peg to make it secure more solidly.

I was going to revive this thread, but you guys beat me to it. I just got mine today, and it is really sweet. I loved the design, but the quality of the construction really seals this as a pretty epic add-on set. I really hope this isn't the last we've heard of Transformazing. Such coolness for a first effort, and it's strangely underrated.

 

I still want the full trailer version...

So, see as this thing is part of Captured Prey's Black Friday sale, I thought it would be an appropriate time to bump this thread.

Has anyone heard how well the sets sold so as to green light the (speculated)full trailer/Apex armor Optimus upgrade that was teased in the instructions?

 

The item is on clearance and we haven't heard a peep from this company for ages, so I wouldn't hold my breath

Thanks! The iGear CC set is kinda pricey at $60 but I found it to be a decent value considering the extra mileage I got out of all the various accessories. TFazing FOC UM still has the hammer and shoulder rockets, while I gave the rifle to my custom Motormaster. The extra head I kitbashed into my TFC Iron Army Ruination combiner (see sig), and the green Wreckers flag I gave to TFP/RID Kup as part of my TF Prime Wreckers display.

Agreed, unfortunately. I mean this upgrade kit wasn't perfect and it made a subpar Hasbro figure somewhat more decent, but the FOC aesthetic isn't one with a lot of demand or staying power, I think (outside of Planet X offerings).

 

I still don't really regret it being trailer-less. With trailer I would have passed on it because it's too expensive. Without I own it and love my big imposing Ultra Magnus.

 

Demand isn't as high. Staying power is still there. This company went about things half-assed IMHO. They had it good on paper, but messed up on application. Had they taken a different approach, it could have been much more successful.

 

I should FINALLY a have Magnus in about 3 days!!!
