I didn't even take out the thigh screws completely, just released them slowly until I could squeeze out the top bit.

Sorted, pretty easy in the end, biggest issue I had was getting the white bit back in. Knees etc all stiff still.

 

I haven't gotten mine in yet, do you take the whole leg off, or do the fix with it partially attached?

 

You have to turn the inside piece 180 around, so "partially attached" won't work.

 

Anyone else got a problem with the pin on the section circled below being too loose? Reminds me of XTBs Savant's arm issue, although not as problematic. I'm probably never gonna transform him again, so hopefully it won't break.

The really bad, bad qc assembly. 2 right Thumbs, 2 right hip joints (which think I need a whole new leg right cause hip is built into the leg and held in with pin) As well as the upside down hip issue to boot.

Over all I like it, I had mmc Sphinx and sold it not too long ago. Definitely more visually appealing to me and my collection

I’m surprised TE isn’t getting ripped for these QC issues. The hip issue is one thing, but now these others are being revealed. I’m still getting this figure (and will hopefully get a QC free copy), but if this was Takara or Fanstoys, they’d be getting shredded.

 

Not surprised. This was bound to happen with the fall of black mamba. Not even their 3p line has good QC now. Just more rebranding to come to try and trick people into believing it’s somehow been improved.

 

My mentality is always 'you get what you pay for' and in this instance I can forgive the QC misassembley because well everything else about the figure is above what the price should be. Seems to have a fair bit of paint, looks absolutely outstanding on everyone's shelves (I'm almost in disbelief that it looks so good next to takara car bots).

Fanstoys are double and takara are triple the price that this thing is, so for the 'premium' price I expect higher standards/materials because well why is it so much if your not paying for those. If I'm honest I think fanstoys gets a free pass from the fanstoys fanbase (aka that ridiculous Facebook group).

As far as TE goes, I'm a huge fan of their prime and I look forward to my mirage hopefully any day now.
