I have a MISB Speed Star for sale in the Junkion Exchange that I bought to keep as a MISB second, if anyone is still needing one.

I'm still trying to fund my Haslab Unicron.

Idk, it was still sealed MISB, but he sold last night to @Caesar312, so when he gets him (if he opens him) maybe he'll let us know. The seller I bought him from on evilbay had listed him as "new stock" so I would think he would be blue ankles.

I thought the newest run was the one with ankle issues

I'll report back once I get him and open him up!

Ok opened him up and no green ankles! I can't completely tell if the hips are mis-assembled but they look correct to me (not taking off leg to confirm)

From your image, the left hip (when you look at him) needs to be fixed.

I can see why you think that but it’s just the pose he is in exposing that ball joint. The next pic shows him straight legged and obviously I couldn’t get to car mode of one of hips was misassembled. It’s the ONE issue I didn’t experience :D

For those of you who have gotten a green ankle, have any of you tried to get a replacement piece (and actually got one?)

Mine had green ankles on both legs and I received replacements for both legs. I bought copy from TCP and went through them to get the replacements.

Got mine in today. One green ankle.

The materials feel okay... but this doesn't strike me as a particularly great figure. The articulation is more limited than I expected and part of my copies backpack just flops around. Most of the paint on my figure is covered in scratches. Somehow they're still charging high-end prices?

Yeah, I would 100% advise others to wait for the FansToys Mirage. Yikes.

Wow really? The QC must be really all over the place. I love mine but clearly tons of people have lots of different problems.

Mine has a green foot too. The fender-foot needed some glue because the pin wanted to slide out. Otherwise I like him.

I got mine from TCP which means second batch. It came out great in my opinion, never thought MMC Sphinx was going anywhere, but it got “demoted” to alt mode. Speed Star, in my eyes, looks more like in the cartoon. Sphinx is great actually, and it goes well with MP10 for example, it depends on what you are going for in your shelf.

This, exactly. Both figures nail both sides of the aisle, and neither really goes overboard with "hyper-toon" vs. "stylized." You really can't go wrong if one fancies you more than the other.

If you mean the blue-red thing in the front, it should sort of "click" past the hinge it's attached to and stay put.

As for that whole assembly the head is mounted to (including that 'bib' piece), yeah--it doesn't secure on anything. I don't know if later versions made that hinge tighter, but my version is...well, not loose, but it moves when you move the head.

Personally it doesn't bother me. One simple trick is just holding the front plate while adjusting the head up and down. It's not floppy, it just doesn't secure to anything.
