It just means you won't have the normal pre-order deposit matching.

Oh man, I was about to pull the trigger on the regular TE-01 when I saw the SG version is... $5 more and shipping now.

I could, in theory, buy the SG one now and then grab the regular version when it comes in stock in november/december but man...

Are there any issues with the different model version I need to know about or is it all minor running fixes.

 

That was a concern brought up in their ShowZStore thread and facebook post. They have yet to answer in either one. I suspect if it doesn't fall through on their end, they give it back in credit (or to payment method if you ask)

 

When a store has a non-refundable deposit that just means if you cancel your order. Presumably they're doing it because of that 1000 minimum order. Say there's not enough orders but you really want it: you get 1000 people who have no intention in buying to put in pre-orders so they meet their minimum order and then they all cancel when the store gets their order filled and they're left holding the bag. This is just their way of protecting themselves from losing out.

 

You have to pay double now. Just you.  

 

I always wanted one but got the MP-44 KO instead, then sold that and got a MP49 instead so I could use a red MP OP, just placed deposit.

 

I think if worse comes worse and the figure never happens, they'll at least have to give you your deposit back in ShowZ points. I only have MP-10, and kind of dislike the mold, so I'm hoping the TE-01 reissue actually gets made!

 

MP-10 was a really good figure, just compromised a little, its been "technology creeped" for sure but I still have a soft spot for it unlike the abomination which was MP-5 Megatron.....

 

MP-01 would be the Optimus equivalent to MP-05. That one's definitely a bit dated, haha... although I still love the bot mode with all its pistons and mechanical functions. (Just don't look at the truck mode.)

 

I have a soft spot for MP-01. I'd love a downsized version to better scale with with my other MPs. TE-01 looks pretty nice, and $70 is a bargain!

 

I remember there is a downsized MP01 before, maybe from igear?

 

Between this and now seeing TE-03 (Mirage) on sale through TF-Direct, along with a some of the other TE products. Should we be concerned for the longevity of Transform Element?

 

Could just be them trying to get rid of overstock and get more income for their next project. Or could be dealers getting rid of stuff to make room for more stuff.

 

Optimus Prime is a perennial seller. If the molds are paid for already, this may be a "greatest hits" run to raise some cash ahead of an expensive new project.

 

Maybe they're gonna replace the brand with Deformation Space.

 

Considering they are just a rebranded BMB who pumps out KO’s like crazy, no, I think they are just getting more cash out of the molds.
