Yellowing of plastics caused by UV lights, sunlight is the biggest problem...you can get a UV blocking film that applies to a window to stop UV light. this in the room you keep your collectables would help.

Ah so it is the sunlight that is the issue. Thanks for that!

Sunlight (or other UV light sources) is a major contributor...you're pretty well guaranteed for white plastic to turn yellow if you leave it in the sun for extended periods of time. But that's not the only way it can happen. There are people that have had white figures in covered storage bins with no access to light and still had figures yellow.

Anyone looking to improve the look of an already amazing figure, don’t miss out on the Transformer_78 neck extension. Just went ahead and got the black one as well (going to be getting a Shattered glass TE) Not sure if anyone else wanted to leave him feedback but I went ahead and left him some as he deserves it.

I’m going to posting pics of my v1 TE-01 with neck extension soon :)

This might not be such a bad idea.

UV is really bad for white plastic, but also the hot time in the summer is very bad. I think UV + warm wheater is what causes the plastic to yellow. But it seems to me that new toys' white plastic is less prone to yellowing.

I'm just waiting for V4 from TE to include it on that release. Unfortunately, I have to wait for mine to arrive (not anyone's fault. Just a late adopter).

Quite likely...however, newer toys haven't yet aged 30 years. Time is also a factor in the yellowing process. I think some FansProject figures will be susceptible.

Time will tell, but I have to wonder if the industry of late hasn't factored that aspect into the production of plastics, since the days of MP10..

I installed the neck extensions from @transformer_78 last night. They look great! The short neck with the V2 head was the only slight issue with TE-01's appearance for me. Now it looks perfect.

Did you use any sealer or clear coat around that grey added to the crest ridge? What I'm worried about painting it is the wear and tear factor during transformation.

I didn’t use any sealer. I figured that I’d just paint over it again if it chipped off. But since I painted that crest ridge I don’t think I’ve transformed it yet, so it may be a moot point for me.

Not too happy with @tfsafari here. My TE arrived punctured and a slightly bent up V2 head. Already sent an email.

Dude, sorry to see that. We would say that is something very rare, the box might be damaged by kinda forklift or something. We have replied to you already. Pls send us a photo on the manufacturing defects you mentioned,we can arrange replacement for you from TE. For this damaged box we would send you a coupon for compensation (we think we are just not lucky, for penetration damage like this no pre-caution would work)

Id be more upset with the shipping company. If tfsafari doesn't do anything to assist you within reason then it would be understandable to be upset with them.

Edit: was too slow, I see they have already reached out. Good on them!
