I don't think there is any way to reliably do that without paint. Those window segments are so narrow they offer a variety if issues. First, it would be very hard for a router to run thinner premium vinyl that skinny without causing tearing. Second, you'd really gave to cut each window segment into four separate pieces and line them up perfectly because a thin vinyl in a tiny long strip like that would be a nightmare to apply as a full loop. Not to mention, even if cut into segments for each if the four sides, there would be virtually no margin for error applying to a surface that narrow.

Figured it wouldnt be possible. Just spit balling there. I wonder how long before we see a metallic custom painted version on eBay with your sticker set? I'd love to pick up your set and another TE01. Had I the funds for that.. Unfortunately just the sticker set. If they do a Metallic release. I would want to have stickers on standby if I need to spruce or add to that version. Cant wait to see more.
What about a silver stip around the bicep?

    Okay.. Self affirmation time.,
I will only buy another TE01 if its one of the following...
    1. A metallic repaint with added silvers.
    2. A Nemesis prime repaint

I will not buy a Ultra Magnus repaint
I will not buy another TE01 just to customize.
Remember, you have other bots to get..

Just bend it gently back in shape and you should be alright!

    Impressive work. Well done!

I know you're not a fan of the added detail that pulls it away from the toon look, so I'm taking that as a double compliment, lol.

I'm still waiting for it. I preordered it from TF-Direct three weeks ago and I only received the stickers but not my V2 head. In fact, the tracking reads it hasn't still shipped. Weird...

Is that FT-17 hoodlum with the rodimus alt face? Are you displaying him with that face? I can't believe it!!! That's exactly what I want to do with my figures once I get TE-01 v2 head. Can you post more beautiful pictures like this please?

Yes, I am not a fan but I have to admit the work you did is clean and second to none in terms of accuracy to the toy.

Indeed. And in the context of the thead, the picture showing FT Hot Rod seems so unfulfilling, I have TT Hot Rod, and I wish I could get the 300.00+ TT rerelease Of Rodimus Prime, but alas, I don't have the money to do that as I am still troop building my OS KO and regular MPM movie line up together, as well as continuing to build my G1 MP collection. So for me, a really well done Rodimus Prime and a Well done Hot Rod would be a welcome addition as a need to fill in that hole. FT doesn't do it for me. I am holding hope TE does it, and does Hot Rod as well.
    Because honestly we need both.

TE should consider bringing the movie out as their line up. It would give them access to both early G1 bots and the crew that I so desperately want to get together..
    but better then this.

They don't need to scrape the bottom of the barrel, yet.

Heh. But I mean it's a character that's pretty much untapped. There's the Takara one that is widely panned for its issues and there's the dx9 one that looks like garbage.

It took me an original G1 fan 20 years, but I've come to appreciate Rodimus Prime. Optimus Prime and getting this TE01 version is still my ultimate in terms of getting a figure closest to my minds eye about an MP that fulfills that cartoon aesthetic need and price. But it needs to be known, that other then the typical big names out there. Its Rodimus and the core movie and season 3 crew that has little attention until recently, and even then many iterations that gave tried well to give that portion of the fandom what it needs. But after almost now 20 years, the MP TT line continues to drag on, with little production on focusing on that segment of the series. 3rd parties are able to fill that role, but ive yet to see something that really makes me want them. Hotrod has a lot of dynamic curves in the movie. Tapered and flared in some areas that make designing him as a toy that transforms difficult. I get it. But its the aesthetics that also make the bot. TE so far has knocked it out of the park. Its gonna be TE02 and TE03 that develop a hard core following. Focusing on characters that haven't had as much attention, and giving the same level of detail attention will benefit the company for years to come. I think the Movie lineup should be their 10-15 year production plan, and gives them the perfect number or limit to set their design plans towards. Assuming they even want a G1 exclusive line, and not a series of random selections, or just character hole plugging. I vote they should do a whole line of 86 movie bots.

A few years back they did a 'v3' loose that I've never had a problem with. Was cheap as chips too:

Looks great with TE01 as they're both so screen accurate.

    YouTube (Handle):
They released the V3 earlier this year and it only cost about £130. Has an orange backside rather than red, but other than that it seems identical. I'm glad I waited rather than paying the stupid eBay prices (I saw someone asking a grand for a sealed one!). It's not something I'd transform our handle that often, but it's a good display piece.
