Is Rattrap up for preorder anywhere?
Would prefer Transmetal Rattrap for scenes like that, but the scale looks good to me. That's around the size the beasts should be for Mp's bigger than the humans, but way smaller than the regular figures.
They look like they'd scale really well with the original Kenner toyline. Rattrap especially looks really good and I might just pick him up!
I've only seen BA at Show-Z and TF Direct.
Agreed. They should focus on Legends scaled BW and go all out, so it doesn't take a year to get the next two figures.
You. I like you.
I like you too
But I can't find an appropriate gif on such short notice.
So how does this RT differ from the 30th Annv RT from Hasbro?
For I thought (and still do) he was spot on!
I think this one is better proportioned. He also has some ankle articulation. His tail stows a little better. His back kibble is arguably more "show accurate", too. What really nails the TE version for me is the head sculpt. To my eye, the TE version is more accurate as to the show. The Generations version better matches the thuggish feel of his IDW incarnation.
OK… Seeing them together brings a WORLD of differences. I REALLY dig the IT version.
I wonder how it stacks up sized wise?
The 30th displays well with my MPs… would THIS???
...honestly I think it would technically scale better. TE's are legends sized. BW dudes were TINY compared to the OG G1 cast. They'd display closer to scale accurate using the BW show as the metric.
More precisely, I meant how IT's RatTrap scales to Takara's Beast Wars MPs.
I know they were all tiny compared to the G1 cast.
Oh, sorry. I misunderstood. Then yeah. IT Rattrap might be too small. I'm getting him to scale with my G1 MP cast.
Do we have a definitive height yet?
Not to my knowledge. Maybe someone that has actually seen him in show? That said, doesn't look like he so much as hits the knee on that Prime behind him... so MAAAAYBE 3 inches? Total guess on my part.
I'm sure that's part of it and it is a legitimate concern. There's also the fact that any friends or family who notice that your toy has squishy boobs are going to be judging you.
He might not be that far off scale wise with MP Optimus Primal.
I'd certainly welcome them going all in on Beast Wars. But I don't object to Tiny Transformers Prime toys either. or even some Unicron Trilogy stuff.
If I just went by what I think would be nice to have I'd say any of the females is a good start - so Airazor, Airachnid, even RID Strongarm.
Isn't someone doing a Knockout - though maybe it's bigger not smaller - but a Tiny Knockout would be nice too. So would Bulkhead. I suppose tiny WFC Dinobots would be fun too.
They didn't wait for this figure's arrival to start doing that.
Anyone own this prime figure?
Take a photo with an upright ruler next to it and we’ll have our answer.
Or- as it looks like they’re surrounded by Dinobot’s stand pieces- get one of those out and have a look. I’m too settled on the sofa to go up and do it myself right now.
There you go, that was my real question. I guess I will just never understand why people care about what others think.
I don’t personally care either way, but squishy boobs will certainly not stop me from buying the figure.
Man, these guys look great. Rattrap strikes me as a nice teaser of what to expect from the eventual MP (I didn’t even know these were his show colors).
If I weren’t already invested in the BW MP’s I would definitely pick them up.
I’d say 3.5 to 4 inches.
