Wow, this figure is great. If upsized, dare I say Masterpiece level?

Only thing, hose pegs under the scorpion head are scary tight on the robot feet.

For sure. Mini-Masterpiece gets thrown around a lot, but this guy truly fits the bill. It's been a few weeks and I'm still in awe of the toy. All he's really missing is his wet, bumpy texture--add that and make him larger of course and he'd fit in seamlessly.

 

Yes he is tactically Mp if you go by the 1996 cartoon height accuracy. The maximals and Predacons were only 1/3 the height of the orginal g1 characters.

Unlike the new Kingdom cartoon which has change their height scale. Now upscale size of bw and downsize the g1 heights to match each other.

 

I find Maximals and Predacons much less interesting as a concept if they're scaled up to Autobot/Decepticon size. Minimizes that whole aspect of being more sophisticated technology, reminiscent how modern computers and other tech devices compare to old fashioned compters and devices. Also removes that element of the G1 TFs being these ancient legendary monoliths.


So yeah, I hope one day it will be possible to have a collection of the entire BW cast at lengends scale to go along with all my G1 MPs. It's a shame that BW legends can't get even a fraction of the output of G1 legends. We'd pump through the show cast in no time.

 

Yes and you have to look at it in an evolution way as well. As the energon becomes more and more depleted, the bots get smaller and smaller so they can consume less energon. Like when the world's oxygen level drop the animals had to birth smaller offsprings to keep the species surviving.

Hope they haven't decided to abandon the line. At least complete season 1 and I'll be content.

 

I think that's not gonna happen, even thou I wish they continue making it. Their weibo page last update is last year July and after that no update no nothing.

Yeah I'm not feeling good about the odds of this line continuing at this point. Would've been nice to get all of season 1, but as it stands I'm just gonna incorporate the figs into my season 1 mix and match lineup and be happy with that.

 

Just got TE Scorponok and the figure looks and feels pretty amazing!

I really enjoyed both Rattrap and Blackarachnia, but this new entry is far superior in every way. Bigger, heftier and more articulated... Super satisfying bot.
Plus I love his hunched stance, it makes the character look weird and menacing (I'm not familiar with BW, so I have no idea if that's accurate).



They all look great together.

I'm not sure if new BW character are in the planning, but I would love an Optimus Primal and a Megatron for sure.

 

and Wasp, Terrorsaur and Inferno.

I'm expecting a Maximal so Optimus Primal or Rhinox would be nice. While I like Dinobot as a character I never liked his bot mode design, sword or shooting out of his eye.

 

I keep hoping for more. I’d love transmetals at this scale.

 

I know... I want a legendary transmetal tarantulas and depthcharge so bad.

But I think they are working only on s1 at this time and it's only 1 figure a year. Kinda think Cheetor a good start because they can repaint him into tigertron and Ravage with just a different head sculpts.

 

Man, I'd kill for somebody to re-do that original 2pack of Legends bat-Optimus and Croc-Megatron. Spruce them up so they're fully-playable in both modes (articulated wings, working croc-mouth, full-artic animal limbs in general) and I'd throw $50 at a box set.

 

Have we heard anything NEW from TE? I haven't seen anything since Scorpy was released.

 

New stuff TE... yeah but it's all for their g1 line, the beast wars line (TE-MM00 line) is 1 figure per year. So 2022 figure has not been announced yet.
