That head sculpt is Terrible

 

I can probably go without this. The problem with the set is that the detail contrasts too much with the base official toy. Also the face still looks weird. What's with third parties and not being able to sculpt proper mouths?

 

Not a fan of the head at all....should be a bit blockier? It doesnt look that defensor to me....

 

Is it possible to get just the chest plate?

 

I may be the only one, but I would totally buy this if they do a Victorian set.

 

I'd by a Victorion set, if it was a completely different design, assuming I ever get Victorion. Part of my issue with the female combiner was that she looked too much like Defensor.

 

The Bruticus set seemed completely unnecessary, but this really helps fix the blocky-ness of the standard Defensor. Will keep an eye on this one!

Please don't be Beelzeboss under a new name. Would like this set to actually come out.

 

As tempting as it is to use this to increase Defensor's height, I'd really like to keep Bruicus' weapons unique to him, so I'll probably skip this Defensor version. Besides, I like having the option for using Groove as a chest, which this removes.

 

I think they should be scaling back their add-on efforts.

New feet sure, a new combiner weapon won't hurt as only Superion and Menasor have a coherent weapon in this regards.

It just looks too busy when you have Ambulances and Police Cars looking like they're entering a Mad Max movie.

 

This upgrade set and their Bruticus set seem a little too excessive for my tastes. Too many parts and they "fix" problems I didn't have with the figures. I'll probably pass on them for these reasons. I think Perfect Effect's level of modification is enough for me.

 

Ugly head, and the original Hot Spot already has a perfectly G1-accurate chest-shield for Defensor. Who'd want this?

QFT, Shocky. It turns a perfectly good Defensor who needs a pair of new hands and feet into some kind of Gundam. I won't be paying for parts I don't need, unless the set is ultra cheap. Big pass for me.

Why?

 

Strange, it doesn't appear to be capable of using correct Groove in his proper place. It would seem that, in their rush to get this kit to a presentable state, they accidentally made it only compatible with Giant Groove. Hopefully that blatant error will be fixed before release.

 

Well well well...colour me interested. I'm planning on customising my Hotspot into another character, and I think this will distinguish him from Onslaught. I'm not happy with the upgrade for Bruticus and its an easy pass, but this seems like a possibility provided the QC is good.
