Man I hope this chestpiece is designed to fit on the "back" to cover up that nasty whole.

Glad the knee-heads are separate I kinda hope they fit with the shapeways version to add some height to this bad boy .

 

The Hunn-Grr feet fold to the back now To cover it. (I didn't figure this out).

 

Really interesting(going over to grab my Hun-Garr)...

 

So, Hun-Grr is reversed, the new chestplate covers the hole and it also forms the combiner ports. I hope Hasbro's plastic is strong enough to support all that weight...

So, spin the head and the legs around, fold all of the beast parts to the front of Hun-Grrs robot mode and there you have it.

Simple and elegant. Works.

 

That Abominus looks GREAT! But it's too much parts-forming for my tastes (nothing wrong with Parts-forming, but you know the old saying - everything in excess .....). That being said, speaking upgrade kits-wise, I think the upgrade set for DinoKing looks much better (possibly due to PotP Grimmy looking better than Hun-grr. Though not by much    )

At this point I think PotP Terrorcons set would benefit more from a 3rd party Hun-Grr akin to what Microblaze Creations did (Onslaught + upgrade kit for hastak's FoC Combaticons).

 

TDW if you're reading this, PLEASE consider among your many, many pieces, a replacement head for Cutthroat! Not that it even needs to be changed that much, I'd just like it to STAY ON. (neck fillers for Sinnertwin would be nice too)

 

That's one of the things I think Hastak did really well. I actually like how they implemented everything into the bots themselves (sans hands/feet).

I am glad that these third parties are coming out with inventive solutions for different tastes.

 

I'm definitely preferring this Abominus to PE's take. Where's this pre-order with bonus coming from?

I saw on Facebook that the alternate face and chestpieces are a preorder bonus, but does anyone know if you have to preorder the set from a specific site in order to get them?

It's a damn shame they didn't give us some decent front legs and bigger monster heads so Hun-Gurrr's feet don't look so tiny and silly.

I feel like they say its a "pre-order" bonus but it will probably be included with the initial run that retailers get. Kinda like the matrix with Fanshobby Power Baser. This is just an assumption and you know what they say, assuming will make an ass of..... yourself (myself).

That looks excellent. PE needs to up their game big time if they're going to continue to try and compete here.

 

Looks like you won't be able to use Cutthroat as a Leg with this kit applied, the dragon heads will fight for space with his bird head.

 

If you fold it down, it should.
