Naval commander took many more liberties with the design than this one is.

 

It makes me want a hybrid style galaxy convoy for my legends :/

 

Agreed, there's as much in common between that (core anyway) and armada as there is between bayverse optimus and prime optimus.

Not dissing either of those, as I like both movie and TFP, just highlighting the difference

Combined mode is perfectly fine, but the base bot and minicon kinda fail in my opinion.

 

I love the core robot for naval commander. He is very well articulated, I would buy another just to have him in base mode loaded up with minicons/micromasters..I think it would look really cool along with the titan city modes and double evil etc...

 

Metroplex too.

 

Anyone know of any updates? I put down a deposit for this big guy, and I hope it won't be a regretful decision should this thing get cancelled, which I pray it isn't...

It seems everything is more expensive now, beside the normal inflation, also the COVID causing issue for sure.
For example, the latest MMC Hellion (cliffjumper), first release on ShowZ was $74, the re-issue now is $90.

So I won't be surprise if this ever release will be $200 + ... with that saying, I probably will give up collection soon since my income didn't rise fast enough to keep up with my hobby's price increasing, or I will just buy much less than before.

 

Yea I agree, I've gotten a lot more selective with what I buy in the past few years. This and MMC's Star Convoy are probably my only real purchases for the rest of the year.

Man, I hope they make a Leo Breaker and Wingsaber figure to go with it.

Actually, a figure of Galaxy Megatron would also be nice. He's a pretty cool robot design with 3 modes. I really like him.

 

Easy repaint fodder to get a Nemesis breaker if they get a master Megatron. And the Galvatron repaint.

I just hope we get decently paced updates on the thing, instead of radio silence for half a year before a few pictures come out and the cycle repeats.

 

That's more or less the same for a lot of 3rd parties I am afraid...

 

ChosenPrime lists release date as "2nd Quarter 2021" (which we're rapidly approaching the end of) while TFSource says "September 2021"
Be interesting to know where they get these dates from
