This. In my opinion this defeats the purpose of going to see and enjoy a movie. Anyone can like something by "turning their brain off".

 

The only one I can think of that your complaint even applies to within the past decade is ROTF Dirge. Plus, the Classics versions of the Coneheads actually have greater neck swivel range in robot mode than the normal Seekers as they don't have the nosecone ponytail, so it's sort of a trade-off.

 

 

I find myself agreeing completely with these last three.

As for me...when people complain about FIBRIR/RIBFIR.

 

People who complain about how TFP sucks and how terrible the toys are. Just don't watch the show and don't buy the toys, as simple as that. It's waste of bandwidth creating threads just to express your hate.

 

That would imply common sense. Everybody knows that doesn't exist on the internet 

 

My peeve: There will always be some fans who insist on being upset that Hasbro, a 4-billion dollar company with multiple divisions and products spanning every age group and demographic, doesn't seem to be willing to steer its ship based on the nostalgic wants of 80's fanboys (a group that has no internal consensus even about what constitutes a "worthy" Transformers toy, much less the best way to spend a multimillion dollar budget managing a design, manufacturing, and sales logistics train spanning the entire globe).

 

The term GEEWUN (or variation of the term). Like its somehow shameful to be a fan of G1.

In reality, I don't think I've ever seen anyone that really is a GEEWUNNER in what the term is supposed to be (a person that only likes G1 and hates everything G2 and later). Its seems that even people that do love G1, still enjoy later series.

 

I dislike it when someone treats any sort of TF media or figure like it's the holy grail. It's fine if you really love it but nothing is with out its flaws.

Also, arguments in a thread that go on for pages. Long debates are fine if points are still being made to keep it going. But when it boils down to nothing but insults about the topic and/or the other user someone has to realize that you're never going to see eye-to-eye on the issue and just let it go.

 

I have no problem with complaining- complaining will exist as long as people have opinions. My issue would only be with HOW certain people complain.

A) Being overly negative and dramatic with cussing/unnecessarily harsh language. "I hated this show" gets the point across. " I hated this piece of **** of a **** show" isn't needed.

B) Treating anybody who disagrees like an idiot

C) Hijaking threads that were intended to be positive by complaining about things that have nothing to do with the topic. Like, a thread about how cool Grimlock looks wouldn't be the place to park your 5 paragraph ROTF rant. TFP forum- I'm looking right at you for this one.


If those were followed, the Transfandom would be a much nicer place.

 

I actually see VERY few threads created for the purpose of bashing Prime.

Also, this post is hilarously biased. Complaining about OTHER shows though? TOTALLY okay. Waste all the bandwidth you want.

Yeah, "GEEWUNNERS" certainly exist, and they're truely the most awful kind of fan. But it has nothing to do with them liking G1, just that they're obnoxious like, well, any obnoxious person.

But it really sucks when fans of G1 are called that simply because they like G1. But i's also honestly pretty rare for that to happen.

 

Pretty much this. I'm a fan of G1, but I'm not a GEEWUNNER. I consider myself to be pretty open-minded when it comes to new content.

The only complaint I have about this fandom is that we're never satisfied. That's about it. And I include myself in that.

Oh, and that one guy who, and I kid you not, literally got down on his knees and proposed to me because he said I was the first female Transformers fan he had ever met. That was kinda weird.

 

I think according to 4 or 5 people on this site, I am ******ed.
