With this being $143, I'd imagine the properly scaled one will hit $220 or more.

I actually really love the idea of just taking old BW toys and updating them to have more modern articulation (especially ankle tilts...for the love of god, why weren't ankle tilts always a default point of articlation? Even as a kid I never liked how so many figures stood on the edges of their feet) and improved gimmicks. With the exception of TM2 Blackarachnia and TM2 Dinobot, who need to be massively downsized and upsized respectively, the old molds for the S2 and S3 cast can stay about the same size as before and they'll be pretty close to correct scale.

Most of all I want a version of the Fuzor Silverbolt mold with articulated wings that can properly fold behind his back. Make it happen, TransArt!

I am beyond excited. I can't wait to get this guy. I love the direction Transarts is going. Their "MP" attempts have mostly all sucked, so doing a straight vintage improvement is a welcome change, and something I think will have better quality.

Takara will give us MPs eventually. I can wait. But this? This I'm excited for.

Looks like it's scaled pretty close to the perfect effect version.

Well the figure would look better if they closed the guns and moved the chest piece up and moved the wrist guards from the shoulders to the arms. Also moving the shoulders so they are straighter, it's like they purposely chose the most awkward pose they could in comparison to the better proportioned perfect effect version.

That picture is a perfect demonstration for how Perfect Effect fixed that design.

That's a real shame that TransArt just wouldn't upsize this guy. Even with the toon accurate wonky proportions, if they just made him bigger it would have given him the illusion of being a massive gorilla bot. I am so painfully passing this up, I just feel really bad not supporting my favorite beasties. Again, they should have at least made him bigger as he just looks so off in this scale (does the head look too small?).
I will have to stick with my Perfect Effect Gorriras.... I just hope PE does not make a shiny one like the TransArt paint apps as I already have 5 of the PEs.
I can always dream of JX making a bigger one with longer thighs and better proportions.

They are the same size so it's up to you, if you want bigger hope the bootleg oversized perfect effect one comes out. Since they are the same size this one that is more show accurate is tempting to me now.

So I feel really conflicted on this. I’ve loved every release from transart so far (apart from transmutate as I don’t have it) and I quite like this but I only collect MP scaled figures unless there isn’t an alternative like transform elements scorponok. This is far too small for me, also I’ve never really liked the show accurate design of optimal optimus and much preferred perfect effects beast gorrira but they seem to have done such a good job on this it’s a real shame they didn’t scale it up or at least have an MP option. The paint is lovely and it does actually look great with the other figures previously released including the official figures but unfortunately there’s one figure I really care that it scales well with and I doesn’t (JX megatron)

You know what we need? An undersized KO of the JX Winged Dragon. Something around 24 or 25cm to scale with this. But then it wouldn't scale with their TM Cheetor and Skateboard Gorilla.
