You know that actually looks a lot like the KINGDOM maximal symbols that we are getting on the boxes... maybe that's what TransArt are going for.

 

Could be! Although it does kinda look like there's a nose as well.

 

Only because this kind of figure isn't on the radar of most people who'd want it, on account of it never being done before.

I'm sure a ton of people would be into CHUG scale BW toys that were basically updated versions of the OG toys (rather than the brand new designs of varying accuracy that we will likely get from Hasbro if they ever tackle Transmetals in a CHUG line) if we actually got them on a regular basis.

As in, genuinely, good luck. The online one I've been able to find at a reasonable price is the Optimus Primal repaint version.

So I’m not 100% sure I’m going in on this even if they up the scale to match MP. I’m really not a fan of the original designs proportions and although there were a lot of stylistic choices made with perfect effects I think it looks 1000% better. I just hate how stumpy the legs look and that the robot chest was on show when in car mode (I watched a review of their original OpOp release) so not sure if we can expect any updated design choices with this one! I can’t even remember if it’s faithful to the show in all modes as I can’t find any images of OpOp in the other modes really.

 

If only the Primal Prime repaint was as plentiful

Where is my "MP scaled or won't buy" faction symbol?
Because yes, as many others I'm only collecting BW MPs and this won't fit my collection.
Even if OpOp is like my favourite TF I won't buy it (BW was my G1 and everything of OpOp, as silly as it might be, from the colours to the 4 modes, blew my child mind). I already have the original toy, the small Transart to scale with my MP OP collection, and the Perfect Effect Primal Prime as an awesome stand alone piece.
So 35 cm or at least a head taller than JX Winged Dragon.

I'm with you. As much as I love TransArt's work so far, this needs to be the size of Dragon Megs.
Might be in for repaint versions just for the novelty though, and to support TA.

I'm sure it's been mentioned... but can we get the fucking name of this thread fixed? It's "optimal optimus" not "optimus optimal" lol...

I know, I know. I'm beating a dead horse. But I really wish this was MP scale, because the improvements TransArt did look great. They NAILED the headsculpt (whereas TM Primal and TM Cheetor were a bit "off", and they've made improvements to make it more show accurate (better proportions) and I'm such a sucker for fully articulated fingers.

People were ready to pay $200 for JX TM2 Megatron, I'm fine paying $175-$190 for a proper scale of this. The transformation is stupidly simple (part of the reason why I think they chose this as their next one), so the size shouldn't create any issues with weight or stability.
Since Takara has been silent on MP BW, and no price or final pictures of that MP TM Tarantulas... I'm starved for the next MP scale BW figure. I don't care who, gimme something.

 

Wait, what Masterpiece-scaled Transmetal Tarantulus?

 

Lets hope they reconsider the size and scale, since they have a bigger market in Japan since the BW MP line is for them any way. Im sure they have already read some comments, lets see what they decide to do.

 

Yes, there is a prototype floating online. If you do a search on the 3P forum by the Tarantulas you may be able to find the thread. It is still unknown how legit the prototype is.
