    I hope it's not a reboot.

Wow!! Film 3 hasn't have 2 weeks now we are talking of film 4. Thought after film 3 I would leave TFW2005. Guess I'll be again around from time to time.

I :lol  so hard, it's not even funny!

"Trans4mers Rumor Mongering Begins: Jason Statham to Feel Shia's Shoes?" also = :lol

Rumour or not, this is an interesting concept to think of.

Hey, I thought that one was at least plausible! :)

Taking this with a pinch of salt.

But anyhow, I wouldn't mind Statham if this indeed, were true. Love the action in his movies.

And as I've said countless times, NO reboot.

Glad this is just a rumor, because I would hate for this to be true.

I don't expect any real news either for a few years on the next one, but if this means they aren't rebooting. I'm all for it. It wouldn't be hard to write Sam out now anyway. Like I said before, they just need Carly minimum for an appearance to give the reason why Sam isn't available. Personally, I prefer the "They're married and she's knocked up, so she doesn't want Sam risking his life anymore for their child's sake" type story point, but they could also pick up on some of the left over threads from 1 and 2 about allspark radiation altering Sam. It's not like they don't have any story threads left to use either. We still have Unicron, why the allspark was even created and left on a barren planet to create cybertron, and of course Galvatron among the many decepticon scientists that could be used to fill in holes. (Jhiaxus, straxus, etc) All around, though "Just say no to reboots". Star wars doesn't need em, and we don't need em. Not for the movie-verse at least. It definitely needs some time first though. Give them a few years, towards 5 to let the crews clear their head, spielberg or bay clean their plate to pick up the directing reigns, and the writer or writers to really dig into the history of TF as well as the previous movies to pick up threads and ideas on where to go to maintain coherency.

If they want the main lead to take a more active role, I can see Statham doing a good job. With Shia, Shia did alright in fulfilling the role of a young human who introduces the Autobots to other humans much like he himself as introduced to them.

With Statham I can see him taking a more pro-active role, like fighting alongside the Autobots to begin with et al.

Does he have what it takes to step into Shia's shoes? Are you kidding me? What did it take for Shia to step into Shia's shoes? Nebbishness, hackneyed slapstick, and the catchphrase "nonononono!"

I think the most badass action star of this generation should light those shoes on fire, piss out the ashes, and be on his merry way. Statham doesn't need shoes. They'd only get lodged up someone's ass anyway.

    I'm for this.

But only if Statham actually plays Sam. And I mean, he does his best Shia impression and everything.

Come on, you gotta say, that would be fucking hilarious.

ehhh no sorry. he's a decent actor but when i see him i think of not so popular movies and quick action flicks with bad ratings. If they're looking for a new actor they should look for a respected actor or some kind of young kid that's becoming a star. statham isn't bad but they can do a lot better
