You guys have been giving Bay a hard time constantly since before the first movie started production. He made your precious franchise a billion dollar main stream worldwide thing & still, you give him nothing but crap. If I were Bay you wouldn't have 3 kick ass Transformers movies, all you would've gotten from me is the finger.

 

They will make prequel split into three movies and be more shittier than previous trilogy.

 

Ehh its not like the movie had a great story, expanded the lore,or memorable characters. Of course we are going to speculate about the next one.

Bay's movies are like Chinese food, tasty with no substance, leaving you hungry 3 hours later.

Bay is a kickass technical director. But he should be a second unit director, as he cant tell a cohesive story to save his life. He has one good movie under his belt, and the rest are critical flops.

The movie is a billion dollar franchise because the fan base is 25 years deep.

I think Statham taking Starscream down would have looked way better.

 

Quick comparison of the two:

Shia-Beyond annoying with his horrific overacting in every damn scene. Every time he opened his mouth I just couldn't take it.

Statham-Obvious tough guy image. If he wins a fight it's actually believable unlike with Shia and isn't even close to as annoying.

 

^Shia's a good actor, he does what he's asked to. The Sam character is hyper and that's what he delivers.

 

How could you guys not love Shaboof? He was great as the Spike-ish character.

It's a billion dollar franchise because it constantly delivers a spectacle that can't be done anywhere else. Anybody can render chaos in a computer. Bay stepped up and wrecked stuff for real. It shows, and it's amazing.

 

Considering some poll results I saw in imdb, the majority of TF film viewers are not fans. Not by a long shot.

Bay makes "silly" movies with a grand dose of spectacle to make peoples eyes dazed by the sparkle of it all.

It's the people who want to see a good story with good characters who hate Bay's work.
