Is that a second head instead of a mask attachment? I can honestly say I prefer this after trying out Toyworld's finnicky SS-scale bee mask.

 

I wish the same had been done for MPM-3.

It's a good idea. It allows for the pointed antennas when the battle mask is deployed.

 

As in no parts being removed for transformation.

Anyone else wish they could make an alternate head to match the style of everyone else's face. I just hate looking at Bumblebee's cuteified Bayverse face, I want to see a good face on an awesome figure. Something like this badly edited picture -


Hmm, now that I think about it, when I get this figure I can just swap the head for any other yellow head that fits.

 

Sorry but I'm not interested in that at all. Nothing's more boring to me than putting generic human faces on alien robots. Especially Cliffjumper's face, which had beady little eyes and a tiny hawk nose on a huge wide face.

PS: Knight did way more to make Bee cute than Bay did.

 

So let me get this straight, you're not ok with putting human-like faces on cybertronians, but you're ok with them having cutesy faces when they are 1000s of years old, and are hardened warriors ?
Most people never cared for Bayverse Bumblebee's skull face, but are fine with Knightverse Bee having a cutesy version of it. Most people never cared for Optimus have a nose and lips (hmm, Prime Optimus didn't have a nose or lips), and so now he only has the mask like face, mainly to be like G1; wouldn't it be neat if we got an extra head that looked more like G1, since that is what this universe it going for. It can be an option for those of us who don't care for a cutsey skull face.

Bee is clearly still young relative to the lifespan of his race. Everything about his character ever since 1984 is based on being the young kid/teen character. Did you miss that? Why is having him look like a hardened veteran warrior with an adult human face any better for his character? Absolutely nothing about the face from that comic cover makes me think of bumblebee’s character. It’s just sort of generic.

Plus all I’m doing is answering your question so don’t get upset when it’s not the answer you wanted to hear.

 

Understood, though the skull face is not what makes me think of Bumblebee's character. All I'm saying is that it would be neat if we got an alternate head for him, preferably one based off of the "prequel" comic.

Would you prefer the figure be painted in the same old same old glossy yellow, or an orange gradient like that comic cover ?​

 

To be honest that bumblebee comic (with the exception of shatter and dropkick) is what the bumblebee movie should have been imo

 

Eh, I'm ok with the movie we got, as long as the next movies have more interesting stories, better characters, and just a wee bit more action.

 

one issue i have with how paramount handles faces is that they usually are to obsessive with the use of panel lines and the lines themselves are to thick, it makes them look very wrinkly. with that said it can be done right, arcee for example works very well do to their minimal face design
