Looks like the side part of the front fender in alt-mode. They sit on the outside of the feet normally, should hopefully be able to find a ball-like hole there missing a piece!

I noticed one of the hips has been getting a lot looser than the other, so I took a closer look, and it appears to have haircracks in the joint on the front and back. They kind of look like mold lines, until you get in close and realize that it has the jagged edges of a crack, and I can actually probe around in there with my fingernail.

My assumption is that this is stress from transformation; rotating the (really tight) thigh joint, and/or securing the thighs to the arms.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed. At this point I may as well just get a new figure, as there's no point continuing to transform this one. Kind of regretting not ordering from a domestic retailer, as it would be easier to deal with shipping and support.

I pointed out in an earlier post, that these joints were something I worried about. The joint is small to be holding on an entire leg. You have to carefully brace this part when posing. I added Silicon shock oil to all the tight joints on this figure. It also helps tremendously for the transformation. It helps keep stress off the joint during the compression process. Same with Dune Rider. Great figure, but the joints are insanely tight. I would not even try to transform it without adding silicon shock oil first. Also, keep cold weather in mind. If your copy was shipped to you in cold weather, check for stress marks or cracks right out of the box. Also, if the room you keep it in is cold, heat it up before posing. Silicon oil helps insure you, incase you forget to brace the joint when posing, or pick it up wrong and accidentally put too much torque on it.

Try contacting the seller you bought it from and see if they can send you a replacement part. This joint is at least an area easy to access for replacement.

Ugh, I'm going to have to do a complete teardown and lube on this guy then. At least I'll be able to see if I can pull that joint by just unscrewing parts.

So the good news is that the mushroom peg joint that controls the thigh rotation (and which is likely the reason for the hairline cracks in the pinned hip joint) is really easy to access, and responds well to low viscosity silicone oil. The bad news is that the single screw that holds the hips together in the back is impossible to get out ... almost as if it's glued in there. It just won't budge at all, and I don't want to strip the head.

So there's no point requesting a replacement assembly if I can't even access the hip joints. I'll probably have to order another figure if I want one that's unbroken (and he seems to be mostly sold out everywhere).

While I was at it, I lubed up the 2 mushroom peg joints in the arms. Those are less of a breakage issue, and more convenience as they're a bit too tight to be playable. I definitely recommend getting some low viscosity silicone oil and lubing the mushroom pegs in the thighs as a precautionary measure.

I really like the figure but I can't argue that, the tail is way undersized.

Mine has the exact same lines in the exact same slightly off-angled spots, I think they are just deep mold lines. No looseness in the joints.

Oh definitely. I've been pretty impressed with how 3P has been going with movie bots. I'm trying to limit my spending on them by being extra picky though... So I can continue to afford my G1 collecting.

Haha no worries they’re both the same size of the same character coming out at the same time.

Ugh.....these pics scream Burt Reynolds on, like, Playgirl or something. Just needs a little hair on his chest and upper lip. So wrong.
I thought the Zeta was bigger than the MA. No?

I think for the most part Zeta is same as MA, bodywise...seems to have a longer neck, so taller?
