My guess is that TransCraft and UniqueToys are actually operated by the same team.
Same style of design which is to conceal a vehicle very well in a robot. Distinctive knee.
And their Weibos were posted by the same model of cellphone, Xiaomi Mix2.

Interesting if there is a connection with UT. The articulation seems to be a small step up from RT-02 and 03 (feet in particular). The sculpting also looks more detailed than Challenger or Dragoon. If they are connected to, or indeed are UT, that would mean they have movie MP figures released under 3 names now (DX9 for La Hire). Why not just call themselves one company if that's the case?

 

I'm not convinced. It is common for designers to go from company to company and the fact that both posters use the same phone means little. But if it is true, I hope that transcraft takes a crack at all of UT's designs. The detailing, articulation and proportions are all a step up.

 

That's some Sherlock-level detective work right there. Could be true, although TransCraft's sculpting actually seems BETTER than UT's. Hopefully their engineering and production quality is just as good!

If I know for sure this is designed by the same person who did Peru Kill, Challenger, and Dragoon, then I'll definitely be getting this instead of the alternatives. I don't remember, but was there confirmation that La Hire was also designed by the same guy?

 

Usually there is only a small team behind a 3rd party brand.
For example, the designer Black Apple established a small company named IVIIMEE which consists of only 4 employees. Black Apple himself is in charge of transforming, and there is a girl who is for sculpting and refinement of structure. Other guys for mechanical design, etc.
IVIIMEE and UT started to sell the last knight Megatron approximately at the same time, and some say that IVIIMEE's big head Megatron has better details and painting job than UT's big guy. I guess that's probably due to their female artist in the team.
UT's products have been selling well, so I think it's possible for them to hire a new member to improve the obvious shortcoming. But it seems they haven't revealed any background story yet.

 

Damn I wish I had a girl like that on my team at work. But I think overall this is just designers moving from one company to another, as they're generally freelance.

 

Legends

 

I would prefer if the "Legends" would actually make SOME Progress on this Figure.

Since there is this Lockdown in China because of the Virus, everybody just stays inside.

Thus, they have much time to think how they could drive this Project forwards.

But there is complete Silence on this.
And we have March now.

So: I can say for sure that this Figure will NOT hit Stores, not even (Chinese Stores) in June or July. Even more Later considering how slow this is going forward because of Virus and Exhausted Factories.

You literally said it yourself. Factories are closed. How do you expect them to make any progress?

You can wish all you want that factories aren't closed or that people "should work to get the job done" but that's not the reality here so move on.

 

I think the knee was most likely inspired by UT. And Xiaomi is a very popular brand, not really evidence at all

There is just to much Panic about China and its Virus.

With Progress on Bumblebee i mean:
Yes the Factories are closed.
But it is possible to make Progress without it.

Working on Redesign, Working on Transformation, on Paint Apps
and Showing Progress and Updates to the
Customers that are actually Interested in the Product.

All this can be done with a Personal Computer. You do not always need a Factory, to actually show Progress to your Customers.

Could you Imagine? Some People take their Collection Seriously. And some People do not want to wait 2-3 Years for an 3rd Party Figure to be finished / Released.

The Delay is not the Major Problem;
I just wish for more Updates on a Project / Product, thats all.

Ohh donnt get me wrong the virus is absolutely over hyped ... Here in Germany the people start emptying all the supermarket's for no reason ... If you are not old/too young and were I'll before, this thing is not even more dangerous than the flu but hey at least som big companies make slot of money ...

I know what you mean but especially in China the fear is real and it should be because the virus is more dangerous to Asian people because of the way it gets to the host I can't quite translate it perfectly but the virus uses ACE2 receptors in the lungs to identify it's host and get into the body and Asians have slot more of these than any other at least that is the state of research in Germany

The point of this way to long text is
They have bigger problems right now than bringing a figure forward that probably won't leave chin for at least a few months even if it was ready now
Any update would not make a difference
