Like the original toy, when transforming the figure reverses itself- the chest becomes the back and vice versa. That means the right hand is now the left hand, and the thumbs end up on the wrong side of the hand. If you’re having trouble visualizing it, just find a small child and twist the head 180.

OH OK! That does make sense! I never owned the original toy.

I cannot say enough how much thought went into this metallic munky with the noticeable and subtle additions from its original counterpart, always had a soft spot for the concept of inverting the transformation for both beast and robot modes. The overall idea for the TM line is represented well here. Speaking of the transformation the fact this is an upscaled version doesn't bother me in the least. The transformation is solid and doesn't detract from either modes so re-engineering it would have been kinda redundant when it works. TransArts has done right with this fella and the cobalt kitty. I have committed myself to staying on target with only picking up season one MPs but boy they are making it very hard with these quality offerings so far.

Thumbs are on the wrong side of the hand if they're not switched during transformation.

I have it now and honestly, I'm torn. I love the detail and the ease of use of it for a person wanting MP-styled Transmetals. Downsides for me is it is light-weight, the clip for the gun isn't as nice as the original mechanism, the hands can't hold anything and are probably the weakest point on the figure. The rest is perfect however and I love the aspects of it. So mostly got it for the eventual Transmetal Megatron MP that they'll eventually do so I had an Optimus to go opposite of him. Otherwise, I'd have stuck with the original toy if it weren't for the $20-40 difference in cost for this one. If they get a TM Megatron to go with him and have him at a similar price point, I'll be happy.

That's exactly what I dislike about him.

A better clip and better hands would've knocked this guy out of the park, but he's still a really cool figure regardless!

Yes, have bought a few things off them and had no issues. Prompt shipping, well packaged.

I've found his customer support to really suck. Received a figure with a missing default head and got the ol "we'll check with the manufacturer for more" bit. Went on for months. Finally gave up on ever getting the part. Meanwhile he still listed the figure for months if not years afterwards.

Thanks Gents. I just caved and got Ravage from ShowZ and I'm trying to decide if I want to just rip the Band-aid off and go ham on these guys. Looks like there and Terry's are the only places with him still in stock, but I had a bad experience with Terry's last time I tried.

Got this from ShowZ and it was missing the clip holster for the gun and their customer service helped me get it quickly.

I've pre-order MP KO Megatron and the new BWM-05 Optimal from them.

Link? I'm not sure how he could get any more metallic than he already is!

Sure it can, I painted my Robot mode up awhile back to look more show accurate

Here is their update how they could update the browinish plastic to be shinier and paint the chest metallic, but still have that awful orange face is beyond me.

I can't tell if that's more or less show accurate.

I think only a few episodes had this darker color, or I may be remiss remembering.

maybe just lighting in the show?
