Okay, this is my first custom I have finished. Its name comes from a G1 character of the same name. I chose it because I always thought it was a cool name. For this custom I used the Animated Blurr mold. Here it is. As you can see I replaced the light blue with green and the darker blue with black. I also cut the shoulders down a bit and flipped the top of the arms around to help make it look more different from Blurr, as shown in th comparison image above. In the image below you can also see that I cut the thing on Blurr's head down a little bit too. The image below is the vehicle mode. Cutting down the shoulders resulted in the front of the vehicle mode to be more equal and give it a sort of round shape. Also, in order to transform Trannis, the arms must be flipped back around.
Nice work, especially for your first Transformers custom. I dig the mod to the front end of the alt mode (it makes the car look totally different from Blurr--almost like a mix between a 1940's style car and those cars in the old Batman animated series). The paint looks great for the most part, though there are a couple of areas that look a little thick (not bad though--still looks great). My only suggestion would be to put some putty on the parts you cut off (to cover that hole and to help smooth over any rough spots), let it dry and sand it, then paint it again. It looks great, but if you fix the rough spots you cut off and fill that hole, it will be perfect. And while I love the arms and the way they look now, I do wish there was a way to do it without you having to swap them to transform it. I do love that shade of green though. Can't wait to see more of your stuff.
Cool - just for the record, Trannis was a Decepticon warlord, so I guess this guy is eeeevil, isn't he?
I'll try to fix that stuff this weekend. As for more of my stuff, I currently have 4 others in progress. Yes he is.
awsome! like what hXcpunk23 said, fix those problem areas and it will be awsome! and that green is such a great colour!
For a first bash, that's pretty darn good. What brand/color green is that? I'm finishing up a M.A.S.K. Condor figure and that would have been absolutely perfect.
