i dont like the fact its missing ginrai option. also if i do buy have to wait to see if the price comes down. i like the look/size of it, but qc is a possible issue as well here...

 

I've been looking forward to this for a while now!

 

I was thinking if the super robot's head turned into a Ginrai that would work. How about an add on set from someone that turns from Ginrai into a head for this thing?

 

I think this is the first I've seen a pic of the "base" mode. I like it.

Now lets cross our fingers and hope the QC is on par with TFC/Fansproject/MakeToys.

 

A headmaster Ginrai would probably get slammed pretty hard.
I personally hope this does well enoug that Xovergen releases the Ginrai add-on we've already seen.

 

I'm happy with them changing up the mastery-hood of Optimus. Ginraid the Headmaster, or GInrai the Targetmaster would be fine.

If I get the Mastertrailer, I plan on working in the TFClub Optiaim and Justice Leader with it, for a Head/Targetmaster Optimus Prime!

 

Am I the only one who liked Grand Patriot?

 

This Will be the 1st time I'll be buy a Xovergen, I know of thier Rep and I don't care, I really love the look of this thing, and I'm a big Powermaster Prime nut. I just hope the build quality has improved a lot, compared to Patriot

 

Prime looks like he's hauling a corpse on wheels... And the Henkei cab sticks out like a sore thumb in the combined mode.

 

i really wanted to like this, but mega is right. the styles clash, and the trailer mode isnt convincing at all. hes too spindly, i was hoping for a fat chunky thing like the original with the wheels all over the legs. something like the G1 box art would have made me swoon, this is just disappointing. hopefully fansproject will take a swing at PP.

 

Corpse? Do you mean coffin, or do alot of really geometric people die around you?
I suppose coffin fitting would be easier for people like that.

 

I really hope this is a comeback piece for them too. I like the look of this and hope it turns out welll.

No I am one of the few that will agree with you. It does have it's flaws but I really like the Grand Patriot set. I was just playing with it a few days ago and I still think it is a pretty good figure.

I hope so too, I've pre-ordered it already. But while it might be viewed a risk I'm mainly buying it to keep in Robot mode most of the time.

The main thing I'm wondering is if this goes well and is a great come back item for Xovergen is if they do an Apex Armour version is if I'd need a second one of this box set to build it if I wanted to have different versions of it on the shelf.

 

Yeah, I took a risk and pre-ordered too. Really looking forward to it...my hopes aren't sky high, but I do think it's going to be decent..
