Bro, the whole WORLD hates us. At the very least, the source material isn't taken seriously-we have Bay to thank for that (and this is coming from a fan of the movies). Transformers is the butt of every "dumb blockbuster" joke I've heard. The memory of ROTF is too fresh in everyone's mind. Now that may be a rash generalization-I'm sure the Brony's like us, but they like everyone-but Transformers is still something of a laughingstock to the mainstream audience right now.
Nah, the world may not think fondly of the transformers films, but it doesn't hate it's fans. Hell, it (and other fandoms) probably don't give us much or any thought at all. At worst, we get lumped in with the general perception of other nerds and collectors. If someone out there defining their identity by the Bay films to the point where criticisms of the films become something of a persecution complex, it might be time to take a step back.
I'm not sure if you read all the posts in this thread but I didn't see anyone "whining" or really complaining at all. I think we all appreciate it that this film is being made and we finaly got a trailer. This seems more like a "I wish it had more of X" and "The CGI doesn't look finished" thread to me.
Well, I could type up a vast amount of complains, but if you want to hear them, just Google "Bay sucks", and read what the multitudes of others have been saying since '07. My biggest complaint about it is, that even though fans hate it, they will still go see it.
I have a complaint, the fact that it makes this movie look good when it probably sucks like the last 2, ok i love transformers and the movies but the trailers always make the film look much better then what it actualy is dotm for example
